Are you implying that Wilder accepting that deal would have meant Eddie Hearn owning him? As far as I’m aware, Canelo, Whyte and others are on fight-by-fight deals and are free to go on other platforms offering more money, as is AJ. Wilder already planned to fight his bogus Brezeale mandatory and would have wanted an AJ rematch clause, so I see no problem with the DAZN 3-fight offer. What exactly are you getting at?

I personally would go so far as to say that the likes of Wilder and Ortiz are already owned like farm animals. How could it possibly be in their best interests that their teams turned down record purses for multiple belts, only for those fighters to get knocked out for less money?

Matchmaking will forever be a problem in boxing no matter which division. One loss could ruin your chances of marketability and big paydays. There is absolutely no chance Whyte is fighting Ruiz, too much risk and not enough reward. These guys want to fight tomato cans after tomato cans, pad their record and then expect a title shot (again). I get it though, its a business and why take unnecessary risks if you don't have to. He'll eventually get a shot at the WBC title holder because of his ranking even after being starched by 97 year old Povetkin, but winning a rematch.

Whyte is not impressive to me. Any fight he does seems to be with has beens or someone easy. He has to protect his chin. If he stepped up, I'd change my opinion. But so far he hasn't. Ruiz would probably knock him out.

Meanwhile, I opened the UFC app on my Samsung TV - enjoyed watching the latest UFC 265 main event with champions fighting the number 1 contenders and a few hours later they uploaded the latest Fight Night Event featuring the top ten contenders fighting.

or, more likely, he flew to the us a couple years ago, was wined and dined by network and pbc reps…then went back and used that as leverage to get a better deal with matchroom. we dont do fanboy conspiracies here, bro. just facts.

What could be in their interest? They didn’t want to work for dazn or Hearn. Virtually no pbc fighter of note has. Only the lower tier did

He wasn't "wined and dined" you silly boy.
He was waiting for offers. Haymon just ignored him.

Ortiz keeps calling Whyte out. Tell Haymon to send the offer.
Fox, Showtime, huge networks. What the f are they doing?
Why so much inactivity in the PBC house?

Ahh so Whyte, coming off a win, may fight the loser of the Ruiz-Arreola matchup when the winner is available. Makes sense to me....fight Ruiz, the winner. That is the right path forward

Ruiz made a reportedly 1 million against against Arreola . At the end of the day it’s prize fighting ,where else is Ruiz going to be offered 4/5 times more fighting in non title bouts and it’s Whyte who is risking his position in the WBC so Ruiz is pricing himself out wheather it’s 4 or 5 million .

Again you guys are putting blame on the guy over paying to get guys in the ring not the fighters who won’t take fights ? Another boxing scene logics on here , that’s also a trickle effect just like when Miller was pulled out of the AJ fight every one wanted more then the next guy to face him who ironically ended up being Ruiz . Ha
