The devil is in the details tho. Who knows what type of options or clauses are attached to that.

He's a free agent, but what can he do? Haymon won't send any offers to him for his fighters who've been rotting on the shelf.

I'd like to see Whyte test his mettle against Ruiz and if not Andy then Martin. Arreola would provide a decent scrap for as long as it lasted or as long as they had stamina. Regardless, it would be great to see Hearn and PBC work together and possible establish some kind of framework for future cross promotional events.

Franklin doesn't interest me for Whyte. Perhaps Franklin and Arreola would be a decent matchup. I'd favor Chris in that one.

You’re assuming all these fighters make decisions based on sound logic. Wilder turned down $100m for AJ to fight Fury for a fraction of that money, while Ortiz turned down $7m for AJ to fight Wilder for less. These are all a matter of public record.

It’s very feasible that Ruiz has turned down 5-6 mil, not least because he’s still in the rebuilding phase with a new trainer after losing to AJ, which getting dropped by Arreola will tell you.

Wilder was never offered 100 mill for one fight. It was a multi-fight deal, which would've been derailed by AJ losing to the fat man.

Exactly. He’s not going anywhere as long as Olafemi is active and champion

It was 4m dollars but that was more than a year ago i think, right after Ruiz lost to AJ... But as PBR says who knows what was clauses that was attached to that, i don't think Whyte would take that chance now though. I think the Povetkin loss changed his matchmaking mentality.

Am saying it now, he would NEVER fight anyone of proper threat whilst his mandatory thing is up in the air. He would do what others like Wilder or Fury do and look for soft touches to keep active and not risk his biggest challenge (Fighting for the WBC title). Look for him to fight the likes of Franklin, Duhapas, Arreola, Wallin, Tom Schwartz type before he gets his chance at either Wilder or Fury.

Fight by fight deal .. so I believe Eddie has his next fight but could go after that though as he has his stable of fighters on Matchroom unlikely.
