Errol gets it. Manny could have easily picked joe blow or some internet or MMA dude, but he picked a young top 10 P4P boxer in his prime. That alone says everything u need to know about the Pac Man. Floyd brags that he sparred with Errol b4, but he didn't fight him for real, and that's a huge difference. He also didn't mention that he got out of the ring in the middle of sparring, and that he kicked Errol out of the gym b4 backtracking and calling him back. In a real fight against Errol, he wouldn't have been able to just walk out of the ring. That fight may have ended up looking a lot like Sugar Ray Leonard vs.Terry Norris

Comments Thread For: Spence: I Want To Retire Pacquiao, But I Respect Him For Taking This Fight

I think Spence will employ the same strategy as he did against Mikey Garcia, and while Pac is trickier than Garcia, the stamina at Pac's age and time away from the ring may start to show late. I haven't been able to envision Pac winning and although the could be close, I think Pac will respect Spence's power and I think Spence will sweep more of the later rounds to win. But I wouldn't be shocked by any outcome the way things can unfold in the ring.

This has young, prime ATG retiring the weathered, over the hill ATG all over it.
Like Pacquiao did to Oscar. Like Camacho did to Leonard. So on and so forth.
Spence is gonna end it. Make Pacquiao a full time senator and make him realize that his body is done. It can't take anymore of prizefighting.

Usually retiring the older one. Or flipping the switch on the old ATG's mind about continuing to box anymore.

Idk man. Just seems like the usual young ATG beats the old ATG occurrence.

pac is not the same but he can still compete at the top leve as proven in his previous fights... maybe this fight will be the fight that he looks old in? because so far, he hasnt really looked "old" for a passing of the torch type fight..

he hasnt been taking beatings in previous fights like most ATGs that was mention for passing of the torch.. if tht was the case, then i can see where yall coming from but that's not the case here with manny.... like i said above, maybe this fight against spence will be the fight that manny looks old in? and maybe not.... we'll have to wait and see..
as for pac using up his 9th life against thurman... you know he took that fight 6 months after beating broner in Jan right??... then he fought thurman in July... so that's barely any time in between for him the rest... that is why, in my opinion, he looked tired against thurman because he didnt get enough rest in between fights.
just like how yall said spence didnt look his best against danny because he was still recovering from the accident... well, the same for manny on looking tired against thurman...
all this will get settled on 8/21 so let's wait and see.
