I realize not knowing the cards leads to some of the suspense of boxing, but it's archaic imo. What other sport do you not know the scores of during the game? lmao. Think this will also lead to more exciting fights in later rounds when boxers know for certain when they have to step on the gas to win a fight and whether or not it will take a KO. At the very least they should show the cards every 2 or 3 rounds, but I'd like to see this be instituted world wide across professional boxing. I think this is a change that the sport needs.
    - -******** lobby against it. Too honest, but if you go that route, get rid of the asinine 10point must.

Fight of the Century when Joe whooped Ali used a one point scoring system with ref Mercante invoking supplementary scoring rules for his score.

    referee
    8 Arthur Mercante 6
    scorecard judges scorecard
    9 Artie Aidala 6
    11 Bill Recht 4

      Interesting.

I posted the same suggestion a while ago and almost nobody was interested.

I would like to see the winner of each round scored individually. That way the winner of the round would at least need the favor of two judges to win the round. Then whoever has the most rounds won, wins the fight.

This will basically weed out the clearly paid off judge.

I think this would go a long way to cleaning up the sport and making it fairer.

not a good idea. too many bias people will score the fight.. what's good is that when no one gets k.oed the result will be automatic draw.. that way every boxer will try their hardest to win.. no running at all..

Actually I think it hurt Trout. He changed his style a bit and became aggressive.

              That's not his style.

You're 100% correct, I thought the exact same thing. But he was told he was down 8-0 in a fight that he should have been up in. Had he not gotten aggressive after that, he doesn't get KD'd and the W has a lot more controversy.

They don't want the action to fall off. If a fighter knows he has an insurmountable lead, he will take his foot off the gas and cruise to victory.
