So, why exactly is NSB so against live open scoring again?

Back when the fighters and the fans knew scores as you went along, it seemed like there were less sketchy cards. It also seemed like both fighters were more urgently working to get clear, decisive wins.

I asked this about two years ago and everyone was against it. But why?

Why would you not want to know whether you're about to see a sketchy card?

Imagine if Teo/Loma had open scoring. Do you honestly think Loma stays tentative for 6 rounds? I don't.

Now, imagine if Broner/Santiago had open scoring. Do you think Santiago wouldn't go full Chino on Broner to stop what appears to be a sketchy outcome against him?

    So, why?

Your example makes no sense. That was a close fight, the right guy won. Canelo was a shell of the guy he is now.

Because it make great fights into bad fights.

We saw multiple examples of it when the WBC tried it.

          - -To answer the OP, 90% of the grazing herds of boxing fans and press wouldn't have anything to moan about post fight, and moaning and bursting into Mayflower tears being so important to boxing fans and Bridgette Weights being so much more important to El Puerco Para Vida Mauricio than transparency, the majority boxing fans get the kind stuff that oinkers like to roll around in...
