Joshua didn't grant anything. He or actually Hearn gave Ruiz a title fight. Ruiz earned every bit of it by getting off the canvas, taking the best Joshua could give and beating him down with absolutely no controversy. This is even more amusing than some of the stories Wilder comes up with.

I think Ruiz was quite fortunate tbh as he was plucked out of obscurity at very late notice and due to timing of that it allowed him to jot have time to eat himself back up to 300lbs, producing possibly the best ever version of Ruiz in the ring.

It's really Jarell Miller he should be thanking, were it not for that Ruiz wouldn't have had a sniff of a world title so the big American mega cheat made Ruiz day tbh.

That is true about Ruiz being in good conditioning as a result of just coming off a fight not more than a week earlier in which he also looked good.

It isn't the first time Miller has done another fighter a favoring by his drug abuse. Ortiz deserves more credit by refusing the fight.

That doesn't address the fact that Joshua still has the first Ruiz fight on his mind. I have said more times than I can remember that Joshua didn't do enough in the second fight to gain confidence going forward. On paper he won the fight, but he still carries that fight in his head and that is not good for a fighter to bring into the ring. Taking the rematch so soon was a mistake as most experts advised. The fact that he made these recent statements proves he is not right with himself.

I think your comprehension skills need improvement.

Nothing even slightly controversial in that interview.

I agree but Joshuas entire career has been rushed.

When he fought Martin after 14 fights for the IBF he had not finished his "apprenticeship" as a pro, and from then he's had very few "learning fights"

He's getting by on natural ability and its showing, I think he will lose the Usyk fight as Usyk is a seasoned boxer with total confidence in his ability while AJ is nervy and lacking confidence.
