So what Canelo wanted to do, weight drained, is to conserve energy the first half and try to box. Problem is that Floyd is just too light and faster than Floyd. That would never change. So Canelo trying to conserve energy sought to box Floyd. When Canelo’s groove set in he could finally start pressuring the second half.
Yeah right........when he's groove set he flurried, swung & missed in the second half.....canelo is a good fighter but what we ain't gonna do is detract from Floyd to make canelo great....he fought amir @ about the same weight & he rehydrated well on fight night.....there was no rehydration clause, so we ain't gonna detract from floyd

We are talking about Canelo at 23 as if his style has been the same winces.

and Canelo has looked differently in fights throughout his career depending on opponents. Canelo was lighter for Khan than he was with Cotto. Sure Canelo rehydrated big no differently the way Hurd or Charlo does, but remember that Canelo vs Floyd was the lowest or slimmest he could get in camp without affecting overall power and performance for 12 rounds. It was a learning experience to do 152. 2lbs of water from 152 and 154 weigh ins, normally, wouldn’t have you looking anorexic like Canelo did, so we now for that camp he cut too much weight as well as the drain.

Canelo grew up poor selling ice cream on the streets to help his family.

He wasn't groomed from an early age, everything he has he had to earn. Through hard work and constant improvement.

The Canelo at 23 is not the Canelo in his prime
