Just curious, do you think that Canelo struggled with Amir Khan? Khan was boxing well, but ultimately it didn't mean much because Canelo knocked him out, so there's obviously no argument over who the better fighter was. That's basically the same thing with Crawford and Kavaliauskas. But, Canelo DID struggle with Mayweather (obviously), Lara, and GGG. All three of those guys are or were elite fighters, so struggling with or losing to any of them is nothing to be ashamed of, and should not be shocking to anyone who's not a fanboy. So, while Canelo does have the more impressive record as far as accomplishments and name recognition goes, in my opinion Crawford has been the more dominant fighter, especially if going by the eye test. Too bad we will never know (for many obvious reasons) for sure who would win if they were closer in weight.

It's not like he got dropped like Crawford did.

Since you brought it up:
I like how Bread sh¡t on every Canelo opponent but would never nitpick Dud Crawford's inferior, pedestrian resume in the same way. He'll grudgingly admit it's inferior but he won't go to the trouble of dissecting it negatively like he does with Alvarez.
And I noticed that Bread was already finding a way to downplay Bivol in case that fight was next.
I don't know if it's East Coast bias or a black vs Mexican rivalry thing or what, but there's definitely an undercurrent there whenever Bread discusses Canelo. I can't help what I see.Comment

They'll use their 101 built in excuses. Heck one idiot is saying Canelo only fights OLD dudes and will DUK Bieterbiev. The dumb *** doesn't even know how old he is.Comment

Canelo haters still don’t get that Canelo fought Trout at 22, Floyd and Lara at 23.
Crawford at 23 was fighting Ron Byrd and Robbins.
What are we even talking about here. Canelo had fought talented guys like Crawford while moving up. Crawford was getting tagged by Benavidez and floored by Mean Machine. Has Crawford ever fought a Supreme Elite counter puncher like Canelo. Canelo can read offense in slow motion and pull the trigger. Stephen Edwards knows all of this. He’s just your classic Canelo hater.Comment

you keep trying and keep failing. Then after every failure, you try to bring up something else after you were proven wrong in your previous posts. It’s getting quite sad and embarrassing for you. It doesn’t matter what Ugas would accept, Al Haymon isn’t permitting any of his welterweights to fight Crawford unless he’s backed into a corner. I showed you a quote where Thurman says just that, Spence is on record saying Crawford is on “the wrong side of the street” and he also had an article on this very site this past week where he said that he feels bad that Crawford hasn’t been able to get the fights he wants. But strictly because of your weird love for Canelo, you want to deny all of these FACTS, because you somehow feel like you’re betraying Canelo to admit the truth. Weirdo.
You said that PBC wouldn't let its boxers face Crawford and I bring up how Kenny Porter said they had been given the go-ahead to try to make a deal. Then you tell me Shawn wasn't happy with $1 or $2 million.
So I tell you that Ugas would have fought for that happily...and you go right back to "Al Haymon isn't permitting his welterweights to fight Crawford doe."
It's not that I'm trying to bring up something else, it's that I'm trying to address all the circular arguments you keep making for Dud.Comment

You said Crawford was avoided and I bring up how Ugas and Thurman and Vergil Ortiz wanted that fight. Then you tell me Ortiz shouldn't count because he's too inexperienced.

Crawford is the most avoided fighter since ggg was in his prime and being ducked by everyone with a belt at mw to the extent that guys were handing over their belts to not fight him. Like I said, the only group of fans denying it are canelo fans who feel they’re somehow defending canelo by acting like Crawford isn’t being ducked and some pac fans because they know that pac has steered far away from Crawford.Last edited by Jab jab boom; 08-08-2021, 06:33 PM.Comment

"If I was in Crawford’s position I would say what has he accomplished, who has he beat? But if nobody wants to fight you now, we’re presenting to you a rising star in Vergil Ortiz, why not take the fight?"
