Oh no in reality he needed them, but do you think they would of all called his bluff if he never folded in those early negotiations with Cotto etc.

Floyd had his own promotional company. He paid the purses himself. Canelo isn’t paying anyone anything. His opponents get paid by the promoter network. In this case it’s Haymon/Fox paying Plant. Canelo is not Floyd. You think DAZN would of dropped Floyd? No

Canelo and his team are just not good at negotiating. Its really all it boils down to. I'm not convinced they ever know what they're doing. They always do the same thing over and over. Hype a fight, then downplay it just to take a deal later on. It's pretty perplexing stuff. Canelo is a certified fiva for sure. Lol. And I think other pro fighters and their management teams just let him spin his wheels.without trying to make him happy.

Well that was really dumb from a negotiators perspective to show your cards to the world before sitting down at the table. Canelo repeatedly told the public he wanted plant next and plant knew he was the last trinket holder. plant thought he could milk this one out for all its worth and over priced himself. take your 10 million man, stop being a greedy ***.


Despite being the most popular fighter in the world, he was begging plant for a fight and made it look like plant was his only option instead of the other way around. plant now is going to fight some eurobum his next fight and it def aint for 10 million. canelo's team dont act like he is the one with the options and power.

Everyone in industry likes Canelo because for years he does social responsibility awareness and helps people in need far superior than anyone else. Floyd never did that, so worst A side is Floyd. The fact that Haymonites are complaining that Plant is getting a %25 purse compared to Canelo and getting PPV shows Compassion and non Diva. Whereas Floyd did 33:1 (mil) with Maidana 1 who was far more accomplished than Plant.

Floyd has helped a lot in his hometown. And has paid for bills that didn't concern him. Genaro Hernandez is one of them.
