He's telling the truth. If you listen to the entire interview his reasoning made a bit more sense.

He didn't have a promoter and naturally didn't have the resources to bid to win staging the fight himself, so he was going to have to fight abroad again for the title shot for probably a modest payday since there would be only one real promoter bidding. He was also worried about being intentionally jerked around and not given the date until the timetable wouldn't have time to assemble a full camp, which he said has happened to him in the past.

Out of nowhere Triller got involved with Hunter and expressed interest in bidding on the fight. Long story short, after a series of discussions with Hearn, Triller offered him a contract to move in another direction. He took it.

It was a good move IMO. He's in line to pick up a regional title and will probably end up getting paid more to fight in a title eliminator than he would have going over and fighting for the title.

"Hearn talked Triller out of bidding for the fight" still doesn't make sense, considering the bid happened on schedule and Hunter was entitled to the lion's share of the purse. And as it was a mandated fight the timetable would have been dictated by the IBF, who apply their rules very strictly.

If he'd simply said that Triller contacted him and offered him an alternative plan, and after seeing how much he was going to make for fighting Hrogovic, and weighing up his chances of winning, he decided to swerve Filip and accept Triller's offer, then that would have made sense.

So why didn't they bid on the fight? He was tied to anyone, he is a free agent. Hearn doesn't even come into it. I mean Triller bid on a fight (Teo Lopez v Kam) a fight that had promoters already. So why didn;t they bid on his fight with Hrgyovic?

You'll have to ask Hearn and Triller what exactly transpired between them, but the most logical answer is overpaying by an insane amount for a fight that draws $0 and doesn't strategically help Triller would be bad for all three of them (Triller, Sauerland, Matchroom) so they came to some agreement.

Hunter said Hearn called Triller when he heard they might bid on the fight to work something out. Hunter is now promoted by Triller.

These quotes are taken from an interview Hunter did with Chris Mannix last week, who works for DAZN.

Zero push back at Hunter's claims during the interview, and Mannix lives to argue.

Hearn never seems that convincing in interviews, yet apparently managed to persuade Triller to skip out on Hunter taking a fight that would've led to him being mandatory to the undisputed champ. Even though Triller are desperate for meaningful fights and willing to overpay. But we can't be told exactly what Hearn said/did. Almost like a conspiracy theory tbh, or somebody talking shite.

Hrgovic ain't no boggyman, he unproven and ain't fight nobody and he's already 29 been pro for 4 years. The IBF need to ordered Martin vs Hrgovic, Martin had a injury when the IBF ordered Hunter vs Martin and as for Hunter doing low risk high reward like 98 percent of these boxers and he going the wba route, Hrgovic need to Bakole or Arsanbek Mahmadov. IBF getting cold feet ordering a final eliminator months ago.

I agree...I don't see Hrgovic as much of a boogeyman....however...I do think hunter should have taken the fight.

So you've taken a lie from someone who is clearly delusional and lies very often in ways that make no sense, and decided that it's legit? You'd probably believe a fighter if he said he couldn't fight the guy he's been calling out because he found Eddie in his house at night after breaking in to steal his bed socks and now needs years to recover from the shock.

Credibility goes a long way, but it seems you want to lose all of it due to having some kind of weird obsession with Eddie like the rest of the freaks. Posters can't be hypocrites on a lie. Why would Trilla listen to Eddie? What purpose would that have?
