If he returns and defeats a ranked contender that wouldn’t justify him getting a Spence fight with Crawford out there.

Beat Manny and then fight Crawford. Its really that simple. Anything else and Spence risks losing all the goodwill and “bump” you get from a win over Manny.

Yeah if both Spence & Crawford win, then it should be the best time to finally make that fight happen! However, if Thurman beat Ugas and picked up the WBA "Super," I could see Spence telling Bud 60/40, or else I fight Thurman! I don't know how Bud would react to that?

Agreed,. But I would be annoyed with that.

IMO what really hurts boxing is that too many non deserving guys get the best fights. That is a major reason I think mma draws well on minor cards and ppv.

If Keith has the WBA "Super" Title, he would not be a "non-deserving" guy. He already beat Porter and Garcia, so if he beat Ugas, he would be just as deserving as Crawford.

No doubt. I would just still be annoyed because The winner of Crawford/Porter is the far more worthy opponent imo and I sense that opinion is shared by the majority of boxing fans.

I agree, the BEST fight is Spence vs. Crawford, but if it's not Crawford, then why not Keith Thurman, especially if it's for the WBA title? In my opinion Spence vs. Boots Ennis is BEST vs. BEST, even without a title involved!

I would argue it’s Spence that is getting a Manny fight, not Manny getting a Spence fight.

Spence has done enough to earn the Manny payday. Thurman has done nothing to earn a shot at Spence if he beats Manny other than lose and get a gift decision over josesito lopez.

he got hurt, yes... but Thurman lost like a max of 4 rounds. To claim that Lopez got robbed is quite funny. I watched that fight and was hoping for a Lopez win but Thurman outboxed him.... I dont know where you saw a robbery there

My problem is Thurman has done nothing in 5 years. To just come back, have a win, and get a Spence fight is one of the things I hate about boxing right now.

Spence should fight Crawford/Porter winner. If not, then someone who at least a has been fighting regularly.

I don’t recall posting or suggesting Lopez got robbed. I thought Lopez won more rounds than you did.

I thought the fight was a toss up when it went to the scorecards.

Thurman didn’t look good.
