In many ways that poor lopez performance got him a Manny fight. But Manny, at this stage, is allowed to select whomever he wishes to fight.

Agree. Thurman makes a legit comeback and wins a couple legit fights, say Boots and another top 6 guy, and then Spence picks for an optional, well that I could at least support in late 2022.

My problem is Thurman has done nothing in 5 years. To just come back, have a win, and get a Spence fight is one of the things I hate about boxing right now.

Spence should fight Crawford/Porter winner. If not, then someone who at least a has been fighting regularly.

If it's a win over Boots, maybe not, but winning the WBA "Super" title, that's different! Anyway, we know Thurman is scared of Boots, so that's a wash! Ugas is fighting on the Spence vs. Pacquiao card, so that's not happening! Jamal James, and Stanionis both fight this month! Ortiz is fighting Mean Machine, and Crawford is fighting Porter, so who is Keith fighting in 2021? He's now Keith "Once Upon a Time" Thurman!
