While I certainly understand not wanting to do business with Arum based on their history but I ask myself what exactly has Garcia done recently to even deserve a fight at the undisputed title?

I’ve grown to realize that both the common sense and intelligence of some of the people who post here are not too far off of an 8 year old child. I am convinced some of these posters are children with access to their parents smartphones and computers. That’s the only explanation I can think of. I refuse to admit I am discussing these topics with adults.

Hmmmm more obstacles and boxing politics it’s a shame really as some promotions should try putting there differences aside and make decent fights with other companies...
at the very least try to make some compromises or deals and if it works out then great....problem is people’s egos

I like Mikey. Always have. I don't like Arum and never have. I feel like the majority of nasty drama between fighters and their promotion that I can recall over the years involved Top Rank. The fact that Bob rips his own fighters in the public is telling and he has just always come off as a nasty person.Last edited by PBR Streetgang; 07-28-2021, 12:30 PM.kiaba360 likes this.

Margarito did zero to deserve a 154lb title fight vs Pacquiao.
Andre Berto had no business in the ring vs Mayweather, the payday could have gone to a more deserving fighter.
Amir Khan had done nothing to deserve a Canelo payday.
Devin Haney was quite literally gifted a title, based on beating zero amounts of top Lightweights.
I wish all title fights consisted of only the most deserving, the current top fighters. But that is not always the case. That is seldom the case.
The baseball equivalent of boxing politics would be, imagine that despite which teams have the best record in baseball, win playoffs games, beat the best of the best, are obviously superior, etc, but MLB Commissioner Bud Selig chooses The LA Dodgers vs NY Yankees for the World Series, even if they ****** all year and did not earn it. Because they are two of the most popular teams in MLB history and nobody cares to see the Kansas City Royals vs San Francisco Giants. Ratings and revenue would be much better if the World Series was Yankees vs Dodgers, so that’s who goes even if they had a losing record and had terrible performances all season.
That’s boxing.

Nash believes that this would be a very close fight. Let's be honest, Taylor barely sc****d past Postol, he isn't up there with the Fury's, Canelo's, or Crawford's of the world. Sure, Spence beat Garcia easily, but Taylor isn't on the Spence level. Nash would pick Mikey to win this on points. Nash out.

And it goes beyond the old "he's on the other side of the street" BS. He has a long beef with Arum, so there's even less of a chance of this fight happening.

Mikey Garcia can get a fight with Regis Prograis tomorrow...but he won't. Why? Because Mikey ONLY cares about the business/ money side of it and now he is pissing and moaning because promoters, managers and networks are doing the same thing.
If Mikey Garcia REALLY wants an UNEARNED shot at a belt he should first STOP PRICING HIMSELF OUT!

Let me break it down shorter for you:
In order to get De La Hoya, Mayweather had buy out his contract from Top Rank for $750,000 dollars because DLH, a former TR fighter, did not want to do business with Top Rank. GBP fighter, Shane Mosley, also turned down Mayweather twice because his promoter, DLH, could not do business with TR.
Do you understand now?
