So what if Taylor or Bud said the same thing? Oh well he’s with premier so just letting you know.

I tell ya. Sam Langford and Joe Gans are filling over in their graves.
I see it. I see this as a recurring theme especially with Mikey Garcia, “Great Fight I’d love it, BUT he is with top rank so....” is up there with Mikey’s Favourite lines!

Loma literally made Mikey RUN from lightweight and he even jumped 140 just to make sure he won’t bump into Loma, got his azz beat from a Merciful Spence and that somehow convinced Garcia he was a WW.

Mikey ain’t nothing but a sell out. Not one ounce of loyalty in him. Extremely boring watch. If his one two ain’t work for him he’s clueless.

Taylor and Crawford don’t have to say that to the media or fans. Because most media and fans already know that is the case. So no need to explain it. Mikey Garcia explained it to all the dummies who may not understand the issue. Regardless, some groups of boxing fans have the attention span of a fly so it’s not like they will read or even understand Garcia’s explanation.

Okay mention Sam Langford and Joe Gans. How about another ATG, Sugar Ray Robinson, who was notorious for his salary talks? Any boxing historian would tell you SRR was a diva. An original diva. Everybody who don’t know sh.t about boxing’s history (but pretend to), want to say some dude from the 2000s invented the whole money-hungry-fighter BS.

Mikey could have fought and just finished out his Top Rank contract or bought it out immediately, which after years, he did anyway. Mikey's a multi-millionaire so his career has been a financial success, but as a fight fan, I wanted to see more from him. Oh well.

Mikey is just stating the obvious, but somehow people will twist it as if he's just name dropping fighters he has no intention of fighting while waiting on the sidelines for big names to fight him. He might have a history of doing that, but he isn't wrong at all here though.

And it goes beyond the old "he's on the other side of the street" BS. He has a long beef with Arum, so there's even less of a chance of this fight happening.

Let me break it down shorter for you:

In order to get De La Hoya, Mayweather had buy out his contract from Top Rank for $750,000 dollars because DLH, a former TR fighter, did not want to do business with Top Rank. GBP fighter, Shane Mosley, also turned down Mayweather twice because his promoter, DLH, could not do business with TR.

            Do you understand now?

They probably were not watching boxing when it happened.

I totally get the business side but I wish for heavens sake media would stop interviewing people with last name Garcia. Mikey and Ryan need space to sort there business/boxing out.
All these interviews just create frustration from fans. When I saw the title I puffed a little but I blame the media. Always creating storylines and at the end of the day these people are risking there life for our entertainment.
Mikey was and can be a beast still, wish him the best sorting out all this and gets a good scrap.

Eh. If the money is there should you really care? Mikey is good with DAZN right now though. So I can see why he doesn’t have to bother working with Arum.

Add to that Cotto threatened to leave T.R. in order to get the pacquiao fight. Then it took Cotto to actually leave TR to get the Mayweather fight. It was Arum himself that screwed up the Gamboa vs Juanma dance. fast forward to these days Arum jammed up the Terence Duckford vs Keef Thurman and Porter potential fights by offering them peanuts
