    Walk Around Weight vs Weigh In Weight

    say a fighter walks around at 160 with 8% body fat. what weight class would he fight at after making weight

    I'm not an expert on these things but I'd be inclined to say Jr Welterweight would be pushing it.

        if a fighter is walking around at 160 lbs 8% bodyfat if he went any lower to 154 he would be drained. if hes walking around 8% hes probably overtraining which is another big issue

                well 8% bodyfat is really low. I think most boxers get to 10% bodyfat in the weigh in, and they be drained/dehydrated. so if a boxer is walking around 8%...?

                floyd/manny dont walk that low.

                  fighters don't "walk around" 8% body fat most likely. i wouldn't think about it in those terms
                  when you're an amateur you have a "season" and inside of that season you're expected to be able to get on weight within a short amount of time for a same day weigh in.

                  most pros are not geting 10-12 weeks to train. they just aren't.

                    It varies on frame and height. Most men can loose 10-15 pounds for weigh ins. My guess would be 140-147 pound boxer.
                    Then their are freaks like Teo who look 160 and fight 130
