I think Spence is smart to prepare for a manny, aided by a Toradol shot, that is still a very good boxer with movement. Manny got out early on Thurman and surprised him . By the time Thurman started fighting he was down 5-0 with a KD on my card.

I think you’re right about this - Spence knows that Pacquaio is (somehow) still an effective fighter. But unlike Matthysse, Broner, and Thurman, all of whom were in various stages of decline, Spence is one of the best fighters in the world, and in his prime. Spence will win by knockout or stoppage.

seriously I get why he’s saying that but come on lol the Manny that beat Thurman was a shell of himself so expecting that “same” Manny isn’t saying much. You don’t have to discredit him & you also do have to give him too much credit to give your possible victory more weight.

To me this fight is like Jordan when he played for the wizards vs a prime Lebron game of one on one. Pac being Jordan, Spence being Lebron. Jordan would always be that all time great, have that experience, competitive nature, & killer instinct but at his age and mileage, would it have been enough against a prime Lebron? Probably not. That’s how I see this fight.
