the PBC team is horrendous in my opinion. SRL, Lennox, Joe. The guy they call the colonel or whatever is bad too. Say you want about lampleys thing for aggressive fighters but the emotion he added to a fight was insane. Showtimes team with Paulie was probably my fav. Al isn’t the best but he’s okay.

Oh yeah, SRL and Lennox are absolutely terrible.

Funny that most of the few that I don't mind are the one's listed here.

For me: Todd Grisham, Sergio Mora and Abner Mares

Bradley is definitely my favorite American commentator, he's ****ing hilarious, when him and Teddy were calling fights together it was awesome

I was coming in to this thread to list Leonard and Lewis. I listen to SRL and it's hard to believe he was such an accomplished fighter because his commentary is just a collection of vague cliches that don't even address what's going on in the fight. Lewis is bad....both surprise me because they had high boxing IQ.

Goossen is pretty bad, Bradley is bad. Mannix has some really bad takes, Mora was bad but is getting better (I think). I'm not sure you can call Mark Kriegel a commentator bit when he speaks my ears bleed.

I kinda like Ward and Abner and I think they will get better.

Unfortunately, my favorite three aren't doing commentary anymore: Emmanuel Steward (RIP), RJJ and Paulie Malignaggi.

Dude be saying the most generic stuff. He be sounding like a P.E. teacher
He’s like a commentator on a video game. He has about 10 sentences that he uses. That’s it.

I don't like these threads. At the end of the day, I see what I see
and not have to be influenced by what these people say.

But I don't like Mannix. He annoys the hell out of me.
He's got this know-it-all aura as if he's the best is this field.
His post-fight interviews are cringy. They're even hour long boring.

Great post! You summed up SRL commentary perfectly.

Agree with your top 3. They’re all able articulate aspects of the fight that many people won’t pick up on or understand.

Also who can forget the ‘oooohh mmaaaaaa gaaaaawd’ reaction in the Ortiz/Berto fight.

Agree about Kriegel, he's in my top 3 if he counts, but ESPN has thankfully kinda pulled him off the commentary and relegated him to a background guy
