Unified champions need to happen or should happen more frequently. They should be forced. No sitting safe as a recognized champ in a sanctioning body.

Okay. Look. Check this out right. Once you are considered ranked in a sanctioning body’s top 10, you can only fight other guys in that weight class. You are considered LOCKED IN. Meaning. A boxer can only be ranked by ONE sanctioning body at a time. This will cause less confusion as far as who is who and where.

If you are ranked 10th by WBC, you can only fight guys in that top 10 in WBC. You cannot fight anyone from another top 10 in the other sanctioning bodies.

Meaning, for the rest of the sport, promoters, managers, boxers, they can carry on and fight whoever else they want and see fit. Fine. But. WHEN YOU ARE RANKED BY A SANCTIONING BODY, YOU CAN ONLY FIGHT OTHER BOXERS THAT ARE ALSO RANKED BY THAT SANCTIONING BODY AND ARE IN THAT WEIGHT CLASS. AND YOU ARE LOCKED IN MEANING NO WEIGHT JUMPING AT THAT POINT. YOU RANKED. YOU’RE LOCKED OR FACE A HEAVY PENALTY.

I would be fine with guys fighting for a vacant belt if it is between a ranked 1 and 2 or from someone in that sanctioning body’s top 10, but if a guy is just weight jumping and was never even ranked ever by that sanctioning body, no. You need to fight at least 1 other guy from that top 10 before becoming a champ in that weight class.

Remember. LEVELS. We need to separate the levels here.

Okay so if a boxer is an active, recognized champ from WBA and he wants to jump up in weight and fight for a vacant title. He needs to first fight someone else from that weight class. You cannot jump into a new weight class and fight for a title right away. Don’t care who you are. These are fixed rules.

Actually, make him fight someone else in that top 10 rank. Remember this is supposed to be a world level anyways. How many times have we seen guys sit on belts? Fine sit on the belt, but you need to fight someone ranked from that sanctioning body. Don’t like it? Fine. Try another sanctioning body’s top 10 or don’t be ranked.

At least Tournaments within Sanctioning Bodies to determine the REAL #1 Ranked Fighter/Mandatory instead of guys come out of nowhere to being ranked #1 and Mandatory without them ever even fighting any of the other fighters within that Top 15 of The Sanctioning Body Rankings

Here is the Bombshell to Fix Everything...All Champions of other Sanctioning Bodies should still be ranked with and have the opportunity to climb up the Ranks of other Sanctioning Bodies. Meaning for example, after a fighter Climb the Ranks and become WBC, he should then be allowed to climb up the ranks of other sanctioning bodies (WBA, IBF, WBO) and earn himself the opportunity to Unify as long as he pays his "FEES" which is really all this is about is "FEES" "MONEY". Always thought it was ridiculous that you win a Belt with 1 Organization, then the other just erase you from their Rankings! THIS is the real Issue that nobody wants to talk about!

So the Presidents of the 4 Major Sanctioning Bodies (Sulaiman, Mendoza, Peoples, Valcarcel) need to come together and really try to make some Drastic Changes for the Better of the sport. They get all their "Fees" and the fans get what we want more consistently and the sport gets back to what it use to be and everybody wins.

Can one of the mods here suggest writing a letter to someone? Someone around here who has a little bit of pull. Can we draft up something? A legit proposal. Some type of letter that says this is how fans of boxing wish the sport was like.

When you are passionate about something, you work to change it for the better and that is the point of this thread. Can we sticky this topic? I think I speak for everyone here when I say THIS SPORT HAS TO CHANGE. We all agree that the power comes from sanctioning bodies. You go to the power source to change something.

All sanctioning bodies recognises only one belt per division, so all these people calling the ones with Regular, recess, emeritus, gold, interim, silver, franchise beltholders champs are just re tards…. The WBA have a super beltholder, which is the one belt recognised by others, so fans need to follow that trend.
