But Bob Arum has kept him nice and protected. What I'm asking is why the World Bobarum Organization has suddenly ordered a risky fight at this time, with Crawford's contract about to run out?

That makes little sense. Why sign Crawford to a long deal when he has no one to match him with at welter? A 1-fight deal is more likely. But if Crawford is not with TR, arum is going to want Taylor to get acclimated at 147 first.

Arum doesn't have a choice. He either coughs up the money to have the fight on ESPN, or risk the fight going to purse bid, and it ends up on PBC or DAZN.

The style matchup is in Crawford’s favor actually. Porter likes to swing wide but poses little danger in hurting Crawford, Crawford excels in exchanges. Crawford knows how to ride with your punches while throwing his own behind them, Porter fights squared and relies on ducking down.

Thurman always turns into a mover after about 4 rd’s, but early he’s always trying to jump on guys and exchanging, he nearly dropped Porter tiwce early in that fight, and had Danny GARSH swimming in the ring early, (got ***ed up by Pacquiao using this tactic, Pac is the king of exchanges). Porter now has his big chance, he came up short with Spence and Crawford will also be tough to beat. Crawford's quickness and movement will be a problem for Porter who must use extreme pressure like he always does. We hope it's a great fight.

i can't see porter being stopped, he might lose, crawford would be the favourite, but can't see a KO. porter would be crawford's best opponent to date and he already lost all his big fights lol
