Why would requiring international visitors to be vaccinated be a bad thing? That should be required if anyone travelling or in a sizeable crowd. These are not normal times we are living

Sadly we are in a place where this thing has been politicized beyond any reasonable discussion. Buddy of mine is promoting a show in USA with a major rock band doing an underplay at a small venue before their arena tour starts. To work out the new songs live. Vaccinated folks only admitted. And the barrage of hate and rage on his company social media is mind melting

You're getting confused by the word passport. A vaccine passport would be everyone and anyone. i.e. if they were to say you need a vaccine passport to enter the stadium for the event, it would apply to British fight fans as well as any international visitors.

Not saying that's a good or a bad thing neccessarily, but just pointing out in response to your question that the term vacine passport doesn't mean it only applies to international visitors. It's a notion that if introduced that vaccinated people get greater freedom to go to nightclubs, bars and other social venues that might be considered higher risk for catching COVID.

Another word for covid passport is immunity certificate. It's an idea that's been knocking around for a while in the UK, though I don't know of any plans to introduce it.

(in comparison, for the just-ended Euro 2020 tournament, you had to upload evidence of vaccination or a negative test in the past couple of days, I believe. Of course, the significance of this so-called Freedom Day was that the UK had moved beyond all restrictions. The situation is changeable though, with the UK now up to 45k new cases per day and 100 new deaths per day. If that worsens, it's hard to imagine they won't consider re-introducing restrictions).

Governments announced by end of Sept its going to be in force at every stadium and business where crowds gather, just depends on what date this comes into play, whether its before or after 25th

Without them public places are nothing more than super spreaders. Folks who want to gather en mass with other folks need to be vaccinated. Period.

A vaccine passport makes no sense at all, because people can still be infected and test positive after a covid vaccine, and therefore infect others.

It won't be a hard rule going forward, not going to work.
