That has nothing to do with anything, but we get too many threads saying that and not enough pointing out things like Marquez's resume. Nothing against him as a fighter, but he is pretty much #2 P4P because of his draw and close loss to Pac.

His greatest fights are his draw and a loss to Pac. His greatest/notable win is probably against Casamayor.

juan diaz, although this kid's resume isnt much to brag either. casa was shot to hell at 38, and never fought again yet. they both beat katsidis who's really not on an elite level.

I can say I saw him beat Pacquiao and John and that's it for me.He didn't get the decisions just like he wasn't ruled down.

O give Manny plenty of credit for Barrera,Morales,Hatton,etc just like I give Marquez for Casamayor,Diaz,etc.

BTW no one is going to say that about JMM if he losses to Floyd, style wise Floyd is all wrong for him so Marquez could have a time machine and travel back to any time in his career and he still wouldn't beat Floyd, styles make fights so if he lost it'll be due to that not because he's shot, you can even make the case that the weight affected him but he's going to lose, we KNOW this and age got nothing to do with it..

BTW I feel like JMM won the 2nd fight 114-113, it's an opinion thing. it's hard to do what Marquez did man, I don't care how old Casamayor was he was like the B Hop of the Lightweights beating prospects and wonderful defense and Marquez STOPPED him, knocked him on his ass man, natural 135 pounders couldn't do that even with rematches and this Featherweight came up and did it in his 1st crack, ran threw probably the #1 and #2 rated fighters back to back and stopped them both for the 1st time in their pro careers, give credit to where it's due, stop being ignorant..

He lost to Barrera imo, ran away from a $750k fight with Pac to Indonesia only to be schooled by Chris John for $30k.
He was deck by Pac 4 times, lost to Pac twice if not for the scoring error in the first.
