Agreed....Clottey is gonna put Shane in his place i feel...And with Clotteys tight defense i dont see Shane ****ing on him like he did Margarito but we saw how Clottey opens up and can be hit..Cant wait for this one

Wasn't Tito fighting a lot of Hoya fighters and the same with Hoya fighting Tito's. Ike Quartey also fought a lot of the same people as them. This has been happing for years in boxing. Leonard, Hearns, and Duran all fought against each other.

By the way the WBA made Clottey the #1 contender.

That is the way it should be. Cotto and Mosley are the top 2 WW this decade just like Tito and De La Hoya were in the 90's. They should fight all the guys in the division.

Mosley just beat Margarito who was ranked 1 at WW... so he then took the #1 spot, he is just trying to use this to try to get a big fight for a good payday, that is why he chased Floyd and Manny so much... once he can't get those fights he is trying to have a fight in the mean time to stay in the lime light so he can get that big money fight he wants.

The problem is though, due to Mosley being so inactive this year when he should of already fought to be honest... to some he may have lost his #1 spot... which I don't blame them for, they don't think he has been active enough to keep his spot.

I don't think he has a choice at this point.

Clottey to me is a tougher fight than Berto is, so I guess give Mosley the benefit of the doubt. He's fought almost all the top WWs and has 1 loss (Cotto) while back at WW.

If Mosley has a dominating performance, he can possibly face anyone from Mayweather to Pacquiao to Cotto depending how everything shapes out.

Mosley is 38 years old, he can fight whoever the hell he wants while waiting for a big money fight with Floyd, Cotto or Pac. Even more props for fighting a high risk/low reward guy like Clottey.

i want to see cotto-mosley II

But Mosley is not as good of a boxer as Cotto so he won't move around like that giving Clottey a chance to set his feet.
mosley is as good boxer/brawler just as cotto. cotto beat him with the timing

What if he fought Clottey first?
it don't matter, clottey is too laid back in the ring to beat mosley.

What do you think the outcomes of these fight would be?
                    the same.

                    mosley KTFO margo.

                    mosley decisions clottey.

Could this apply to other fights?
                    depends

                    For instance, May/Hatton and Pac/Hatton.
no. both floyd and pac always smash hatton. ALWAYS!

Again, I am not hating on Mosley...HOF material for sure.
