    Is Mosley Following Cotto's Blueprint?

I mean don't get me wrong I had my money on Mosley winning when he fought Cotto, but he destroys Margy after Cotto, and now he has a fight set with Clottey?

I know fighters see video tapes of there opponents past fights, but it seems like Mosley is just seeing how Cotto does against an opponent and watching the tapes on how to take them out. I know doing so requires skill and boxing know how. I also know most of you will say, "It is ok...that is a part of boxing."

With that said, the questions I have are as follows...

What if Mosley didn't have the Cotto/Marg tape to watch? What if he fought Clottey first? What do you think the outcomes of these fight would be? Could this apply to other fights? For instance, May/Hatton and Pac/Hatton.

Again, I am not hating on Mosley...HOF material for sure.

Larry, please explain to me how Shane dodged Cotto

Pacquiao was his target, Pacquiao didn't want any

Shane didn't want any of Skinny Willy

        Clottey was the best option

Cotto actuallly laid out the blue print on how to beat Clottey by a wide ass UD. Watch those late rounds of Cotto-Clottey and you will see Clottey is not as his best when chasing people around the ring. But Mosley is not as good of a boxer as Cotto so he won't move around like that giving Clottey a chance to set his feet.

Mosley clamoured for months for a fight with Cotto, Mayweather or Pacquiao but they all had different fights in mind (other than Mayweather who just wanted a tune up)

He's fighting Clottey to beat him better than Cotto did so that if Cotto wins then hopefully it'll set up a rematch in his mind.

Plenty of fighters have done that before, Manny (may have) been doing that with the Hatton and De La Hoya fight to coax Mayweather out of retirement. Mayweather might be doing that against Marquez beating him better to get a better share of the split if the two ever come together.

It runs throughout boxing history, where people try and prove they can beat one guy better than another guy could (in this case Cotto struggled with Clottey, Mosley should hope to destroy him) but it might work against Mosley as its very hard to Mosley to get a fight as he's high rish lowish reward in comparison to other fighters and destroying Clottey should only reinforce that image.

All I know is that Mosley has good agility for his age. He will definitely be moving around either on the attack or avoiding punches.

Mosley used to be able to dart in and out like Pacquiao but even faster and with a wider range of punches (look at the first De La Hoya fight)

He can't do it as well now but I think Mosley will be able to get to Clottey with Body attacks and take advantage of Clotteys low workrate to get combos off and move. Richardson will formulate a gameplan to beat Clottey.
