Isn't Margarito back, Cotto can't be ranked ahead of a guy who made him quit

Think of the number 1 spot as a tangible item. Cotto had it, gave it to Margarito, Marg gave it to Mosley.

I don't think it's messed up at all,it just shows how truly deep the division is,but imagine if they had a tourney like supermiddle, that would be the best thing for the sport!!Minus the catchweights & all!!

When hopkins went up and beat tarver at light heavy that made him #1 light heavy but by the logic some of you are using Roy should be #1 cause he already beat hopkins, right?

See it doesnt make much sense. If clottey wins he will be # 1 because he beat the man. Its as simple as that.
what???lmfao thats the dumbest thing ive ever read..roy beat hopkins at middleweight..not lightheavyweight..that logic doesnt apply at all

Cotto beat both Clottey and Mosley.

So he should remain #1 even if he loses to Pac.

....but if Pac beats Cotto, and Clottey beats Mosley....wouldn't that make Pac number 1? I guess not with the catchweight bs, but still, the rankings at 147 are not easy to do if there are so many triangle theorys happening.

The Rock says this..The Rock says this isn't a linear championshp it's the number 1 ww spot jabroni..that logic don't work here.. The Rock says if Clottey beats Mosely, Cotto's win over Clottey in june makes him numero uno! Cotto's 2007 win over Mosely isn't an issue because it was long long ago. The only question is what happens now that Antonio "I tried to cheat against an eldery man (Sugar steroid Mosely) but was to ****** to pull it off" Margarito is back, where do you put him after he layed the smackdown on Miguel Quitto.
