Its not an excuse to state that some fighters have more of a business sense than others - its just a fact. Many want to harp on what Floyd has done since moving up to WW ... but at the same time totally dismiss what he accomplished prior. If an accurate argument is to be made then don't take some of the story .. take a look at the whole big picture.

Floyd has failed to test himself against a legit Welter. Ever since Cotto's fight with Mosley, I've always wanted to see a Mosley-Mayweather fight rather than a Cotto-Mayweather fight. But I still wonder if Cotto would've been competitive with Floyd before he got that bad beating by Margarito. I think now Mayweather would white wash Cotto though if Mayweather hasn't lost anything in retirement.

No doubt, It always takes two The right combination to make PPV numbers like that. I was typing too fast to include DLH & Hatton.

Put in all the facts along with that alleged 8 mill offer .... Arum had several strings attached with that offer that made it crazy for Floyd to accept.

Just like Cotto & Pac - Arum attached a 2 year extension to that big purse offer to Cotto. So that only way Cotto makes his biggest payday to date is accept Arum's BS.
