TANK vs BARRIOS - PPV BUYS??

Curious to see if any information has been released - usually PPV's #'s (estimates) are released within 2-5 days after ppv event?

As I mentioned many times, piracy is at an all time high. Triller learned the hard way. The days of high rate PPV prices are done.

it’s a learning experience for Uncle Al and Floyd.

it won’t even matter if fake numbers are disclosed. At the end of the day the truth hurts so much that TMT and PBC can no longer tag original prices. Floyd probably scratching his head why his REAL Paul numbers didn’t do well.

I told everyone, Floyd should’ve had Tank on his undercard for the Paul fight. It would’ve helped PBC overall and pushed Tank for the greater good of TMT, but Floyd’s ego doesn’t want Tank to benefit.

It sold from 400K-500K. I have no source for this information, but neither do most people who speculate or spread rumors on this forum.

It doesn’t matter because they aren’t losing money yet. Tank doesn’t have a big guarantee and boxing is pretty cheap to produce, as far as programming goes. At this juncture it’s all still an investment. Pretty low risk with high up side.

that is true. the budget for matches are conservative. you can see it in the marketing. but still, pricing PPV above $40 is a no win situation. Somehow piracy has gotten better or more practical with the current generation. the lower the cost to view the match will help everything in boxing. it's just that the PPV model is old.

They’re marketing to a different crowd. They’re taking Tank to the hip hop audience rather than the boxer audience. An old army buddy of mine was at the fight and he said that was pretty much the angle. A lot of Lamborghini’s, rappers, and video hoes at the fight. So I don’t see them lowering the prices anytime soon. But that forces them to put Tank in with good creditable opponents and I’m for that.
