      The pricing of the PPVs are a lot more now and more streaming buys means the promotion takes home a bigger split. I'll breakdown how the buys worked in the past compared to now:

      In the past 300k buys:

      300,000 * $50 = $15,000,000 *.5 (cable/satellite) = $7,500,000 *.90 (network portion ) = $6,750,000

      Now let's use 200,000k buys with half being streaming purchases:

      100,000 * $75 = $7,500,000 *.6 0(cable/satellite) = $4,500,000 *.90 = $4,050,000
      100,000 * $75 = $7,500.000 *.80 (streaming provider) = $6,000,000
      Total = $10,050,000

      So due to the increase in the PPV price point, cable/satellite distributors getting less percentage and streaming purchases now making up around 50% of the buys, you end up making more money with less buys compared to the past.

        200K - Definitely expect a push for Ryan Garcia or a marquee name/ who the public feels has a chance to challenge tank, in the near future. This narrative Elerbe and Floyd push as Tank being the biggest star and draw in boxing and all that the #'s need to match soon. Errol Spence is doing better #'s than that and will def do vs PAC. Not sure how much longer this matchmaking of getting former champions who are moving up in weight (Santa Cruz) or champions who are past it (Gamboa) and trying to build up solid but not elite fighters (Barrios) for casuals in the bottom 10 of division and let him feast are going to last, if you're trying to be the biggest PPV star in Boxing!

        After the "Viral" KO - of santa cruz and to do around same #'s after the hype Ellerbe stated, not sure

        I don't see any fighter in house within PBC or Haymon 130-140 now -who is going to be matched with Tank (floyd said only fights they are looking at) that allows him to do the PPV #'s TMT and Floyd keep saying he is, unless he works with Hearn, DAZN or TR.

          Barrios doesn't have the name of Leo and he still did slightly better numbers than that PPV. He's on the right track but of course he will need to fight big names as every PPV fighter needs that. Canelo was doing in the 300k range against the likes of Liam Smith and Lara and then when put in against GGG/Jr, he was doing in the million+ range.

          Davis is NOT the biggest star in boxing, but I haven't heard them say that. Ellerbe said he is one of the top 5 ticket sellers in America and a top 5 star in America...Which is true. Very few fighters are doing 2-3M gates.....Spence is doing better numbers with bigger named opponents. It's fine to say Spence is a bigger name but I don't think it is any substantial difference.

          They will have to do business with other promoters if they want to take Tank to even a higher level. Ellerbe mentioned Ryan Garcia in the past and again after the fight. It is clear who they are eyeing next.

So I don’t see them lowering the prices anytime soon. But that forces them to put Tank in with good creditable opponents and I’m for that.

              Atlanta is a party city. They were there for the event. Not the matchup. Tank can fight any bum and they will fill up the arena. They dont know the difference between barrios and gamboa and they dont care. TMT knows this. Hip hop fans dont demand big boxing fights. Boxing fans do

              We will never get tank vs haney, loma, lopez, taylor, russell jr

                When they are big enough we will. We could end up with GRJ next possibly.

                  When Canelo did 300k buys at the same age Tank is right now it was seen as a huge flop. People can try to make justifications by talking about PPV pricing and revenue share but the reason we see increasing PPV prices is due to inflation. The way he is being hyped I would say doing 200k buys his last 2 fights is seriously underwhelming.
