Marquez was considered small for 130. Mayweather is accustomed to the welterweight limit, Marquez has NEVER had a fight above 135.
You also forget to add his age into the equation, it's a lot harder for an old fighter to make that kind of a jump then someone who is in their absolute prime.

How does what someone weighs more then 24 hours before a fight display they are exactly the same size? Take a narrow view if you want but jsut because 2 dudes fight in the same class does not mean they are anywhere near the same size, I am cool with it though and do not really care that much about classes I care about quality guys fighting, JMM and Floyd are quality guys JMM earned his right to call out Mayweather he got his call answered, if JMM gets whipped file that under the be careful what you wish for category~.

There is a difference between rules and reality, 36 hour before weigh ins mean very little to me.

If you want to take them as the holy gospel by all means, I have some swamp land in New Jearsy if you are interested in buying it~
