Mayweather is a Jr WW campaigning at WW.
PEOPLE! Don't be blinded, I mean, since when do WWs come into the ring weighing 146-148? They don't, Jr WWs do, infact some blow up to the 150s. Mayweather isn't THAT big, he weighed in at 150 against DLH for a Jr MW fight and then came into the ring weighing 148. I'm surprised some would LOVE to pin Mayweather against Margarito or Paul Williams but have a problem with Mayweather facing Marquez. People forget why Mayweather moved up to 147 in the first place, he couldn't land fights against Cotto, Hatton or Kosta Tszyu so he opt for SSM/ DLH at 147. He had no luck in getting Mosely so he went for DLH. As he himself said, "We tried to make the fight against DLH at 147 but that wasn't gonna happen, so we decided to face Oscar at 154". Also remember that even at 135, after defeating Ndou, Larry Merchant asked, " Why not face Casamyor or Freitas" Floyd answered, "They don't want to fight me Larry", Larry said "You know that isn't true, we both know its money", Floyd then said "Well I gotta get the big money". Although he was looking for bigger and better things, he never showed any sign of struggling to make 135. Funny how Mayweather vs Casamayor was a possible match up, Marquez vs Casamayor went down, end of the fucking world when Marquez steps in the ring with Mayweather. So when you read all this, did you get the impression that Mayweather moved up in weight because he could no longer make it? Didn't think so.
Why is Mayweather held to this limitless standard?
What differentiates Mayweather from Marquez? Mayweather faced DLH at 154, DLH came into the ring weighing close to SMW but none of us here argued, Baldomir also came into the ring weighing 166 and we didn't cry mismatch. Marquez never faced that kind of adversity. Now we have two guys, where the size difference is probably gonna be 4-5 lbs or maybe less and people are bitching. Should we all baby Marquez because he isn't good enough to deal with a slight weight disadvantage? Ofcourse not, **** don't even sound right. Mayweather's level of invincibility isn't created by the fans or the nuthuggers, it's created by YOU, the haters. The sad part is, most of you don't even know it.
Comparing SRL vs Duran to Mayweather vs Marquez.
I bring this up because few, including Mayweather brought up this comparison. Mayweather vs Marquez is taking place at a catch weight of 144, SRL vs Duran took place at 147. Mayweather is coming off a 2 year layoff, SRL was active at the time. SRL was a HUGE WW, Mayweather isn't. So comparing Marquez to Duran, you can clearly see that Duran didn't have this luxury when facing Leonard. So instead of standing behind Marquez, hoping that he'd capatilize and take advantage of this great opportunity, you cry mismatch, how sad really.

Wake up and smell the coffee, the size difference between the two is gonna be 4-5 lbs, Marquez is 2nd on the P4P list and Mayweather is coming off a 2 year layoff...MY GOD!, doesn't that open up your mind?! isn't that mind blowing? Or are people not willing to accept that Marquez will probably lose to the better man or instead falsely believe that 4-5 lbs made the difference
I don't have a problem with people who don't find this fight appealing, that's completely understandable but I do have a problem with people making this the mismatch that it isn't. I always tell people, had Marquez and Pacquiao faced off for a 3rd fight, what would Pacquiao come into the ring weighing? 148...something Mayweather has never weghed more then. Now where is the mismatch in that?
