He never fought or beat the better heavyweights and his "boogie man" persona does not hold water. In reality, he should retire but we all know that won't happen. So itll be interesting
Ortiz became a full-pledge PBC fighter when he nearly stopped Wilder.
Haymon provided him with a long list of cans on undercards since,
not to mention the rematch. His team was happy. And now they're
expecting another mulit-million dollar offer from Hearn and DAZN.

But it looks like it's not coming. And grandpa is not getting any younger.

He can't even get any meaningful fights in his PBC home turf.
Ruiz, Arreola, Martin, Kownacki, Breazeale, these folks were all available
for him at one time. Haymon couldn't give any one of them. Not one.

Is Luis Ortiz retired or what?

What's happening in this division here?
Why is it so inactive unlike in the UK?

He's in a tough position. Eye test says he's a good fighter, but he's never had the fights to prove it.

He was built up for Wilder. Job done. Now he has no upside for anyone decent - on account of being old, not being a draw, and still carrying risk.

I'd imagine his next step is being fed to an in house up and comer who needs a credible name on his resume. Then he goes off into retirement.

He's been paid pretty well for his mission so don't feel too bad for him. Obviously could have earned more against Joshua but he's stayed loyal.

The young Cuban prospect has plenty of time on his side. Nash out.

Decent gate keeping. Make a little money before retiring.

I'd like to see him fight Ruiz. It's hard to stay interested in his career at present.

Like I predicted, Ruiz will be taking another long layoff.
Nobody knows what Ortiz's team is waiting for.

Martin is available. Who exactly is ducking this fight?
Both sides probably want insane money Haymon can't afford.
Where is Mike Coppinger when we need him? What the heck is going on?
