I stand by my comments. Loma is good. He's not great. If you point out just two instances in which he could walk in Ali's shoes, I'll take a bow. He faced his biggest challenge and failed.Comment

Jack Reiss is a incompetent buffoon, I cant remember how many times hes made me look like a idiot as I tried to explain to my friends and family why he does these ****** things.
Gary Russell jr. got robbed the knockdown in the ninth, but Bumchenko got a unwarranted ten-count against Anthony Crolla; at first I wondered if this was a standing eight-count, but I realized he ruled Anthony a downed opponent -- even the commission was all over the place, I'm suprised that Jack did not deduct a point from them too, cause you know thats what he does, hes a complete moron.Comment

You understood the words I wrote, but hardly the point. I'll wait for you to improve your comprehension skills. Something tells me it's going to be a long wait with a disappointing result. But, since you got my point wrong anyway...At 15-2 Loma has become a 3 division world champ holding multiple belts. Name me a few other boxers who did the same, American or not. Typically, the first 20 fights even champions fight are against those who don't even have Wikipedia pages. And, mind you, Usman "Uzzy" Ahmed has a Wikipedia page. Did you understand my point now?Comment

There is no way around the fact that almost all of the meaningful punches in the fight were landed by Loma. Lopez subsequent reluctance to rematch Loma, i think demonstrates that Lopez is less than confident about his chances of winning a 2nd fight.
If he thought he figured something out about Loma, or that he would be able to do even better in the 2nd fight, he would have signed up immediately, and made the win definitive. That would have put him in a great position for his career.
As it stands now though, hes just kinda in a position where he is clearly avoiding rematching Loma, in a fight that most people feel, Loma lost on his own through giving away early rounds.Comment

Unfortunately, he also showed no ability to open up Loma's defense, and he was more than lackluster in countering when Loma started to let his hands go. What he did very well was use his feet and react to and turn with Loma's angles early on. I think he got a lot of credit for that, as it made Loma look like he wasn't doing Loma things.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Teo never replicates that performance. I think he was really up for that fight and he may not ever be able to get to that point again. I've been wanting a rematch but ultimately, Loma and his team omitted the rematch clause the first go around so they have nobody to blame but themselves.Comment
