I do think he's more skilled than Chavez which is not saying he's a better fighter overall because i can choose between them.
As for Marquez i don't think so. JMM was a true master of the fighting game and one of the best counterpunchers i ever saw but overall Canelo is a better fighter because of his chin and power.
I can agree with this. More skilled than chavez -YES, better boxer than JMM- No, better fighter than JMM- yes
