I think Teo wins again...
Who Wins if Teofimo and Loma rematch?

Great breakdown, yeah I just lean toward Loma in the rematch and I am not too sure Teo wants it. I feel he will find any reason to postpone the rematch.
Teofimo will probably stray from the rematch because he knows that he put on a lifetime performance vs Lomachenko the first go and repeating that feat will not be easy despite what he says.
If you claim something is easy and its gonna make you a lot of money and you pass, we all know what's up. Who wouldn't take candy from a baby?
Think of Floyd vs Oscsr or Floyd vs Pac or Canelo vs GGG.
The fight break down literally into the same exchange over and over.
Double Double jab set up
Vs
Philly shell
Teofimo had his most success leaning over and away from Lomachenkos jabs and catching him between the first and second jab. He also kept his hand in Lomachenkos face to get Loma to enter in so he could time him.
Loma likes to enter to the outside angle with faints and using a Double jab. The first jab only measures distance and intent.
You throw a jab and he will either counter over the jab, lead with a lead left, or continue his path to the outside. Lopez was able to catch Loma a few times because as Loma entered the outside angle Lopez would pivot with him and hit him with those crouching uppercut.
If Lopez was unsuccessful with this counter dude would smother Loma and push him off creating space again and not giving Loma to work resetting the exchanges.
Pretty sure Lomachenko still takes it because dude has shown a solid chin and despite "losing " to Teofimo and his power isn't afraid of it at all and is willing to get hit again.
Compare to Teofimo. Teofimos problem is that he's got poor defense especially against a guy with combinations. Once Lomachenko got past what was talked about above dude literally landed at will because Teofimo ONLY moves back in a straight like when defending or not at all just relying on leaning back to get him out of harms way.

lomachenko, once he shook off the ring rust he lit lopez up. if lopez thought he didnt get lucky he would be taking that rematch, he'd get a lot more money then against the clowns hes now lining upComment

i agree that teo does move straight back and thats a major flaw.....but if you dont think loma has respect for teos pop youre mistaken....explain the 12th round then? the most pivotal round when it looked like the fight was up in the air and that round would decide it....loma could do nothing once teo came at him....the round wasnt even close and it was convincing....and loma had to believe he needed that round.....
when teo wanted to keep loma at bay he was able to....especially during the most important/critical round of the fight.....if teo can vary how he does that and be ready to do it more over 12 rounds he can beat loma again....not saying its easy...loma is very, very, goodComment

Right, I think Teo will try staying away from the rematch as long as he can. Just my opinion. I mean, I understand the Kambo fight, Loma is defending against the mandatory, most fighters in this generation do that, get a big win then fight a warmup mando. But I am not so sure Teo will want to face Loma in rematch after KamboComment

hes not going to have a heck of alot of interesting options.....he could go haney....if he did that would anyone really be mad? i doubt it...his other real option i see is to go to 140 and take a tuneup/adjustment fight then go after taylor.....which also isnt a really bad move....if he doesnt fight loma or do any of those things its a step backwards....i dont think that kid is trying to take a step backwards really

what else you see/think he could do other than that?Comment

Good points, but Haney?? His dad has already said weeks ago that fight isn't happening. That's another reason I think he will shy away from Loma. I feel he sees Haney as a risky fight too and he already lied about sending Haney a contract months ago and he was exposed. Moving up to 140 pretty nice move to face Taylor, but Taylor most likely facing a mandatory according to a very valid source of mine.

Id have to see how Lopez looks against Kamboso but if I had to pick now, definitely Lomachenko.
lopez just got lucky last time because the decision could have easily went to Loma.
I think Davis and Ryan Garcia have higher ceilings than Teofimo.Comment

yeah thats why i said he takes a tuneup/adjustment at 140 while taylor does a mando...then meet...

anyways...so u dont think hell fight haney.....i doubt oscar is putting garcia in with any of the top young guys in the next year.....so we think ry and haney are out of the mix.......so basically is either 140 to get to taylor or loma rematch......but if he does none of that what else you think hell do? anything else is a step backwards.....and i just dont see him wanting to do that....he cant really afford to take another light fight after this defense.....like you said its customary to take a defense/light fight after a big one....but he cant do it twice in a row unless one of them is a test 140 fight for taylor.........so what is he going to do if its not loma, garcia or haney..or a tuneup for taylor? another crap defense? i just cant see him going that road and killing his momentumComment
