It'll go ahead, but wise money would be on Wilder claiming that he was injured before the fight if he loses. He did it for the first two fights, despite claiming during pre-fight interviews and press conferences that he was injury free, so I can't see the third fight being any different.
Will the Fury vs Wilder trilogy fight go ahead?

https://www.instagram.com/p/CQks2GML...dium=copy_linkOr does anyone else believe that something will happen to mess it up. Failed drug test. Injury (legitimate or fake). Slow ticket sales. I want to see the fight as bad as the next man but I have my reservations about it happening this fast. We are less than a month away and that is not a lot of time for someone in Fury's shape, to get into shape. I honestly hope I am wrong, but I see one of them pulling out and moving the fight back a month or two. What do you guys think?
I think Fury will be in OK shape in a monthComment

I guess I had this one called. I just didn't know that Fury would come up with the Covid excuse. But other than that, I was on the money. Damn shame too. I was looking forward to the under card fights more than the main fight.Comment

he's still not in shape and I think he is faking Covid. I think it's partly due top slow ticket sales, Fury getting beat up in training and he is still fat and out of shae. But we will never know now because he's already done it. He's blown up another fight. 0 title defenses...Comment

Yeah, the contract says the fight will go ahead, so it will.
One of two things is true, either Fury is screwing with Wilders head or there really is covid in camp and its plain and simply unfortunate.
Marination for a few more weeks wont do any harm, interest is currently low and it certainly is a funny coincidence that promotion hasnt really been ramped up at all as of yet, the timing has been perfect if the covid reason is true.
Perhaps covid will help the situation, gives Fury a little while longer to sell the fight on his own. He's already in shape and talking the talk. Lets get it on already.Comment

So it ended up being slow ticket sales it seems . 25/30% tickets have only been sold .
Wouldnt shock me if either Fury or Wilder fight AJ altogether and never fight again. I guess we’ll see , seems to me it’s not over yet wheather AJ is the next fight fir one of the two and having Fury involvement in this anything is possible .Last edited by REDEEMER; 07-13-2021, 05:52 PM.Comment
