Manny isn't broke. He just has a big tax bill in the US that he doesn't want to pay. He takes these fights in US and then never settles up with the IRS, leaving the next promoter to clean up that situation for him.Comment

There was never any proof that Pac used performance enhancing drugs. It was all slander and a smear campaign in order to discredit him by people who were both envious and jealous of his success.
However in this case, Paradigm is seeking a legal remedy against him in the form of a court in injunction for breach of contract in a court of law. That is of course, if Al Haymon along with Pac's team can come up and reach an out of court settlement with this company to make this case go away.Comment

This is his manager. Nothing ethical about him. Probably one of the worst person in boxing after Conte.Dan Rafael had several excerpts from the lawsuit in his email newsletter and either its bull**** or Manny's managers have been incredibly unethical. Supposedly they signed several agreements to stop dealing with promoters and kept doing it anyway. I'm sure there's some amount of money that would make this go away but its probably a lot more than the $3M Paradigm advanced Manny.

Remember that Pac is also running for President of the Phillipines. So you cannot tell me that a case like this can help his political reputation and aspirations.

No, I heard his tax troubles were actually with the Filipino government. Who was withholding his purses with their Bureau Internal Revenue for failure to pay back taxes owed from 2008 and 2009 for fights he fought in the U.S.
