The fact that Lopez won’t even entertain a rematch when it’s arguably the most lucrative option on the table, speakers to the real sitch. Nakatani will be easy work. Don’t expect another Verdejo type upset. Remember, after Lomachenko lost to Salido he came back and beat Garry Russel Jr. convincingly. IOW. Let’s not try to pretend Lopez put a beating on him like Fury did Wilder in the rematch. Let’s keep it real. I would have less confidence in Lopez beating Loma in a rematch than Nakatani landing anything significant against the Matrix in 12 rounds.
You really must be an up and comer poster then because you don't seem to have the slightest clue of what you are taking about. Teofimo Lopez didn't win that fight against Loma by way of split decision.

He won it by way of unanimous decision because Vasiliy refused to fight. He spotted Teo the first seven rounds before even engaging him for crying out loud.

Reaity check: he edged a closeish fight via the judge's cards in spite of Loma barely engaging in the first six rounds (even then, if you watch the second round again, Lomachenko threw about four punches total and still landed more effective shots than Teo) and one of the judges embarassed themselves with a ridiculously wide score in favour of Lopez. You say he spotted Teo the first seven, but the seventh was the definition of a swing round (which I would lean toward giving to Loma for more effective aggression). No problem with Lopez getting the decision, but I would ask which round it was that Lopez actually hit Loma with anything resembling a dangerous shot? As I recall, he didn't hurt him once. He edged the decision; he didn't beat him up or even boss him.

He basically quit. If he isn't broken then why didn't he show it against Lopez that night?
Watch the fight again. I had Loma winning 5 out of the last 6 rounds . As did most people watching the fight. I don't count judges. I got my own set of eyes. That's broken to you ?? He was smacking around Lopez. Outpunching Lopez big time. The second half of the fight was terrific. Don't have a clue what you were watching. Yes, Loma gave him the first 1/2 on a silver platter. The second half was fantastic. I gave Lopez the victory. But man, that was far from a broken fighter. If he gave away the last 6 rounds, you might have an argument. But your out of your mind if you think that was Loma quitting . Everyone had Loma taking the 2nd half quite handily. That is, anyone that knows the sport of boxing.

I agree with almost all of this. I thought Lomachenko clearly won the 2nd round. He also dominated most of the second half. Lopez was lost in a couple of those rounds and got bailed out.

You're way out of line here. First off, look at the compubox: https://www.boxingscene.com/teofimo-...-stats--152555

Loma only outlanded Lopez in the 9th, 10th, and 11th. Lopez clearly took round 12, which was a slugfest for Lopez. So no, Loma did not clearly win the second half, not by a long shot.

Even in round two Lopez outlanded him and pressured him the whole 3 minutes. People biased towards Loma give him the round based on a few last-minute pit pat punches he landed.

A clear Lopez win through and through.

Don't put too much weight on those compubox stats, there were some videos showing the actual rounds vs the compubox stats showing just how wrong they were, I know they are always out but seemed particularly bad on this one.

Not that I think Teo shouldn't have won, I thought he edged it.

Julie Lederman, the judge that only gave Loma one round, who also happened to be the one judge Loma's team objected to prefight, shows unless Loma slept Teo best he could have got was a split IMO. Cards like that are unforgivable, I'm sorry, you hand a card like that in, its corruption or incompetence, either way, you gotta go.

This is going to be a very hard fight for Loma. He’d better not get caught with too many big punches and he needs to stay technically sound and sharp. If Loma gets hurt this Japanese guy is going to steamroll him.

The Jap is going to go kamikaze style on Lomas ugly face.
