UFC 102 PPV figures haven't even been released yet, genius.

Yes, they were the companies two best PPV events, as far as sales go, but the fact that they did that back to back in this economy speaks volumes.

Here are the UFC sales for the past 10 events:

UFC 91: Couture vs. Lesnar – 900,000
UFC 92: Ultimate 2008 – 1,000,000
UFC 93: 350,000
UFC 94: St-Pierre vs. Penn 2 – 800,000
UFC 96: Jackson vs Jardine - 375,000
UFC 97: Liddell vs Shogun - 650,000
UFC 98: Evans vs Machida - 635,000
UFC 99: Franklin vs. Silva – 350,000
UFC 100: Lesnar vs. Mir II – 1,720,000
UFC 101: Penn vs. Florian – 1,100,000

All but two events have surpassed the 500,000 PPV buy mark. I am as big of a boxing fan as anyone on this board, but you cannot deny the success of the UFC.

As we can see franklin is not a draw, him in the main event with victor belford who is just returning to the UFC equals LOW PPV numbers....

Lets explain this....that Franklin card was from Germany and was broadcasted on PPV in the afternoon. Now name me some boxing PPV figures that were broadcasted from overseas in the afternoon?

ALSO S_pike will be showing 1 hour of the undercard for UFC 103 commercial free. S_pike is available to basically everyone so the UFC will have a 1 hour live infomercial for UFC 103 that same night.

Franklin got a gift in his last fight vs a shot Wand and Vitor is only now coming back into his own. The card is weak and will not do that well especially after 101 and 102 were in the same month.

Explain to me how the pay structure is ****. Considering the fact the UFC as the promoter are completely responsible for marketing these fights as popular as they are....


Consider this fact

Brock Lesnar's first MMA fight(K1 Promoted) did around 50,000 PPV buys.
Brock Lesnar's second MMA fight(UFC Promoted) did 600,000 PPV buys

Believe me Lesnar is making over 2 million a fight with the UFC. Not bad pay....
