Mayer vs Hamadouche title unification announced

Saw this was confirmed. Very promising announcement as Mikaela Mayer can attempt a unification with Maiva Hamadouche.

Should be a real nice contrast in styles with Mayer's pure boxing and Hamadouche's rough and rumble aggression, the French fighter also has a very high KO%.

What's also good about this is that Hamadouche is promoted by Hearn (as are Harper, Jonas and the Korean title holder). It could lead to some real nice future fights. Good to see high level fights and some depth in the women's game.

Farias is a better fighter than Hamadouche. Mayer should take this if she can box on the outside. Hamadouche hits like a truck for a female of this weight but she isn't a great technician and she should be vulnerable to the patient approach.

Agreed. I think Mayer should prevail provided she doesn't get caught with something. I like the fact that TR and Matchroom are working together on this one because it opens up the possibility of Mayer fighting Harper or Jonas (I wasn't overly impressed with Hyun Mi Choi the few times I've seen her).
