Didnt Pac Fight JMM "Twice"?

It doesn't work that way. Sure it would be nice to compare their head to head numbers and think that is concrete who is the more popular fighter, but it's not. Pacquiao has gotten so much more popular since the Hatton fight. Even to the people who didn't pay for that fight, millions saw the fantastic KO.
Floyd on the other hand had 2.4 million people pay for the fight with De La Hoya, and very few came out saying "Wow!" The Pacquiao phenomenon keeps picking up steam while Mayweather continues to do his obnoxious spoiled brat bit on 24/7. It's gotten old. People have seen it. They don't give a **** anymore. They want to see action which is precisely why UFC 103 on the same day will do better numbers, and Pacquiao vs Cotto will do better numbers.
Floyd against anybody considered a serious threat > Any PPV numbers that any othe combative sport can put up.Comment

Nobody has ever given JMM more than 1 fight except for Pac yet people say Pac is running from him. What about JMM avoiding an immediate rematch after the first fight and instead fought Chris John for 30 freaking G dollars? And then got robbed of a decision. Seems like a bad business decision to me. But if you think about it, what if JMM did accept the immediate rematch and lost? Then he may not be where he's at now. The same goes for Pac if he lost the immediate rematch. Needless to say a 3rd fight is needed as they are tailor-made for each other.Comment

Thats the part I dont get. Everyone is throwng out all these numbers and talking about who is the bigger name and so on but people act like Pac never fought JMM. Not only did he fight him but he fought him twice and what were the numbers for those fights? Thats how you judge who is bigger. You cant just go fight for fight because we all know that Pac-Cotto is a bigger fight than Floyd-JMM. Even the most die hard fan would admit that. The fact is that no matter what Floyd-JMM does, it will definatly own what Pac-JMM did and I bet that it atleast beats in one fight what they did in 2 fights. Thats how you judge. How are people going to act like that dont matter and act like one guy should sell more than the other, even in a smaller fight. The facts are that both Pac & Floyd fought Hatton & Oscar and Floyd doubled him in the numbers. The fact is that he will probably sell more with JMM then Pac did in 2 fights. How can anyone dispute that and act like it doesnt matter?
You also have to take into account media perception. Dont act like that holds no water. I mean you have the media saying one fight is one of the best fights ever and the other fight is a joke fight. You guys think that doesnt matter and its fair to Floyd when it comes to sales? That is definatly going to tilt the scales. What if the media were saying that Floyd-JMM was a super super fight and Pac-Cotto was a joke? You think that wouldnt have any effect. The fact is that people want this fight to fail, they want Floyd to fail, and they want Pac to outdo Floyd but one way or another, the score will soon be settled. Pac will either lose to Cotto or he will meet Floyd in the next fight and then thats when there can be no more shifting of anything. One man will be on top at the end of the night and you will have to give him his props in every single aspectComment
