Boxing needs to stop this **** but they won't. Why? Money.

These matches are bringing in newbs that have no idea what they're watching and when they see outsiders doing well it makes boxing look weak AF.

They're match making is killing the sport.

On one hand I'm kind of speechless but I shouldn't be.

I'm the biggest believer in "age is just a number" on this forum, especially when it comes to athletes, but Silva really shouldn't have won, even against an overrated guy like JCC Jr.

          Cong**** to Silva, big win.

JCC Jr only served to further embarrass not only himself but the sport of boxing. Even club fighters should have found a way against Silva. Thanks JCC Jr for making a laughing stock not only of yourself, but boxing.

Oh yeah, Silva did not look good at all, but Julio was so out of shape and lethargic that it allowed Anderson to do whatever he wanted. What was Julio throwing, ten punches a round?

There really is no bottom to Julio's career. The kid could screw up microwaving a bowl of oatmeal and no one would be surprised.

You took this fight seriously? Chavez has been completely shot for many many years. Hes been a disgrace to the sport of boxing. Guys like Jacobs and Canelo fought Chavez Jr because of name recognition so the paycheck is a bit fatter. That's it. Nothing else. And he got embarrassed anytime he stepped up. He's been a farce basically from the get go. Any novice 180lb boxer would've whooped Chavez Jr last night. His father's fight afterwards, was a better boxing exhibition. These silly events aren't putting boxing back. What's putting boxing back is none of the champs and top contenders fighting each other. What's putting boxing back is ridiculous PPV prices. What's putting boxing back is fights that have no business being on PPV . That's what's putting boxing back. Not these goofy ridiculous matches with YouTubers and 59 yr old ex champs fight the son's of his ex buddy. Boxing, the true sport of boxing, f u cked up long ago. The new era champ wants high reward, low risk. There's exceptions obviously but few. Champions monetary demands have become outrageous also. Which makes for horrible undercards. The sport of boxing needs a serious reboot. And trust me, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr won't have any impact on the sport of boxing , never has, never will. And he won't be any part of any reboot either.
I remember the quote boxing has had it's eyes permanently damaged from all of the circus fights and garbage business maneuverings over the years that another comically ****** thing like this can't do any more damage to boxing's image.

Was Jr the fighter who was the novice boxer and Silva the former boxing champion, judging by the skills exhibited Chavez looked like he can't beat a boxer doing basic movement and jabbing. Junior should get his purse withheld.

Anderson silva vs jake paul next silva is an actual competent striker n was the first mma person to kinda get a bachelors degree in every combat sport instead of a doct in 1 and incompetent mostly everything else. Name similar size put a legit co main. N i truthfully wonder bout chavez jr didnt take weight serious didnt take fight serious probably didnt study silva n thought this was a ben askren id even say tyrone woodley non striker type mma fighter . another fight in for suprise is olh for belfort is legit striker all around n def a competent boxer so if take that fight lightly thinking its a jake paul cherry pick goodluck lose major via ko not split decision n wouldnt be suprised vitor tries a spinning backfist elbow just to throw off guard similar how conor unorthodox made it tricky for may to figure out for a while then just realized let em tire he not known for cardio then go in. For combat sport fans imagine TRT Vitor Vs Coked DLH no testing great fight

I dunno about that. He started in 97 but didnt get really good until abnormally late in his career, his pre-UFC career was good but not something that would imply he was gonna dominate like he did, and by the point he really got on the map there had already been Fedor, BJ, Chuck, Vitor, Wand, Nog, Shogun etc who were all well rounded. Plus there had been Jose Landi-Jons aka Anderson 1.0, who had been in the game for a long time.
