But Eddie what's stopping usyk just walking away from the rematch clause, I mean you didn't even know rematch clauses were solid and binding , when you kept announcement fury v AJ week after week

Don't joke Fury was joking Wilder Fury III may have another rematch clause and off course the Knowacki fight is a rematch Helenius got caught with that clause is on the undercard.

Eddy rematch clauses are different than any I've ever seen before. He'll take a victory and turn it into a ball and chain. This claus makes Eddy the master and shot caller, it hardly benefits the winner. I understand people want a superman to run roughshod over the rules and red tape to get things done, but that's your superman, not mine. To me he's just a law breaker.

Does Joshua really needs a rematch clause for Usyk? I mean he is going to be a heavy betting favorite heading into the fight.

If rematch clauses are so common, where are they? Can somebody show me anybody else enforcing a rematch claus? I'll wait.

Rematch clauses are standard for A-sides, but rarely in mandatory fights. But Usky agreed to sign the deal so it is what it is. He also gets a return fight with Matchroom even if he loses for what I'm assuming is for great money so if he's not complaining? I'm not complaining.......

Regarding the rematch, it's just the smart thing to do if possible. A mandatory challenger doesn't have to accept it. If a fighter vacates rather than fight without a rematch clause, I wouldn't respect that though.

I love a good slagging off of Hearn like the next masculine man but he isn’t in the wrong here. His fans are still geeks though…..
