Chavez Jr will face 50 yr old Anderson Silva and 60yr old Chavez Sr will face Hector Camacho. The fight will be priced at 39.99 PPV. Haven’t heard anyone mention this, I wonder why? Is this good or bad for boxing? Are these fighters only fighting because their broke? Will you be watching? Discuss!

The Chavez Jr. fight is probably bad for boxing.

He will likely embarrass himself (he always does) against an MMA fighter and therefore embarrass the sport.

Neither. Only super-hardcores even know this is a thing. This does nothing for boxing either way.

The Chavez Jr fight is a real pro fight, not an exhibition.

I won't be watching but I'm sure even Jr can't lose this one. Anderson Silva has not boxed since 2005 and he's 1-1 in his career with 1 KO win and 1 KO loss. Plus he's 1-7-0-1 in his last 9 MMA fights with 4 stoppage losses and he's 46 years old.

Neither really, because unlike the Paul bros **** this is not very high profile at all.

Jr hasn't been good for boxing in years so I can't see that changing now.
