Overrated and was never a champion. A lot of praise for a guy who fought leftover almost exclusively, enjoyed over a decade in the top ten but never got a title, and never stopped anyone on their way to a title. Dude's basically David Haye but praised for it.

Yet PEDvetkin - who took THE REAL *ish twice, is getting heaps of praise and applause from NSB.

      Why is this?
Bro they both took the real thing, povetkin is getting praised cos his career is at an end, whether he took peds is a non factor as it's so prevalent these days, watch what happens when canelo retires, he'll be honoured as a true great if the sport, even if we all know he was cleared due to politics rather than it actually being a legit mistake

Good deal Povetkin! Hopefully all of his faculties are in take, God Willing, even though he was a little rotten for a period, IMHO

Very up and down career. Like a few on here, I resent his taking PEDs in a sport where the idea is to cash in by beating down your opponent with violence. While PEDs in other sports are cheating, combat sports it is worse and it is not even a conversation. But he took his punishment. Before and after, he has a legacy that is worth talking about. Enough wins that he will be a fun interview as time goes on, especially in his home country where he will most likely be revered. His 3 losses were against 1 elite Hall of Famer, 1 great warrior still writing his legacy, and 1 decent boxer that he had already defeated. Combine it with his longevity and Olympic Gold that is way more good than bad in his career. I wish him well.

Respect to Povetkin, he was among the top Heavyweight Boxers for a while and a class act. Good luck to him in retirement, he'll do well!

Canelo was proven to have ingested something accidentally and not trying to juice.

That he got an advantage from it is moot. He was later cleared.

PEDvetkin injected himself. Three different fights if I recall.

Same with Big Baby, who everyone wants to retire, he won't be celebrated either.

Proven? Really bro, your gonna just be that ignorant and believe that s**t?? He is the cash cow of boxing, they gave him a pass simply because of that, he was juicing up to his eyeballs and we both know, u choose to pretend u believe it right now for the sake of this argument

You just have Canelo Derangement Syndrome and won't admit it.

The test showed he had levels in his system consistent with accidental or incidental ingestion and NOT with any intentional injection.

WADA themselves have it on record and have long before he popped that meat and certain types of supplements can result in a false positive test.

"At The End Of The Day", PEDvetkin injected, willfully, THREE TIMES. Canelo did not. There's a difference.
