no weight hopping, no bias judges in your favour, no tag and run tactics, no 'side of the street', no clinching/fouls, no 'A-side', no bull****, no PEDS, just stay at a weight, clear it out, and fight all comers who want to dethrone you. and it took a proven drugs cheat and two sets of crooked judges to do that.

I like GGG but he played the game some as well. Which you have to in boxing, to be fair. Otherwise you end up like Darnell Boone. Glad GGG at least got paid for those gifts Canelo got in those fights -
And no desire whatsoever to fight Andre Ward.no weight hopping, no bias judges in your favour, no tag and run tactics, no 'side of the street', no clinching/fouls, no 'A-side', no bull****, no PEDS, just stay at a weight, clear it out, and fight all comers who want to dethrone you. and it took a proven drugs cheat and two sets of crooked judges to do that.Comment

Yeah I like GGG. He beat Canelo and got robbed. SAD. #CaneloOnPoints
You cant beat Canelo without knockin him out and GGG is heavy handed, so credit to Nelo the man got an iron chin. He will never be beat, chin too strong and cant beat him on points cause boxing is a ****sport where the money guy gets the nod always.Comment

Urine and feces boy, when a ggg/Ward fight was a real possibility (not when Ward was injured, not when Ward was having legal problems), team ggg insisted that the fight could only happen at 164. They knew Ward would be hard pressed to make 168 and 164 would be out of the question. This was after approving 168 for both Froch and Chavez Jr. They could act like they were interested in fighting Ward but wouldn't actually have to fight him. After the fight fell apart, Ward moved up a weight class to fight the perceived killer and #1 lt heavy Kovalev and ggg drug the #3 or #4 welterweight up not one but two weight classes up for a fight. So who was looking for tough fights and who wasnt?
What they said: anyone from 154-168 can get it
What they meant: anyone from 154-168 can get it, as long as HBO approves, as long as we get the lions share of the money and as long as your name isn't Andre Ward or Erislandy Lara.Comment

OK - do you agree that the 'offer' Ward sent was nothing more than a ploy to get publicity? As GGG was set to fight Lemieux, with Cotto/Canelo due to be next. He knew that GGG had better options at that time.

Truthfully, I don't think either team/guy was that eager for that fight. It was basically all risk and little reward for each.Comment
