    Did Adonis Stevenson Expose Boxing?

I know people like to bring up Deontay Wilder and the fact he medaled at the Olympics in 3 years, but even Deontay trained for 13 years before fighting a live body (Ortiz). Adonis started boxing at age 27 and became a world champ in under 7 years of training at a competitive weight class. Does being a relatively athletic guy all it takes to be successful in the heavier weight classes these days.

Stevenson’s left hand was so dynamic he’s the exception to the rule.

True but I feel like there is plenty of guys in my local gym that just workout that could be serious contenders if they boxed. A lot of the current LHW crop aren't the most athletically gifted

Yes. Logan Paul just proved that athleticism can make you a competitive fighter.

I think the logan paul floyd fight exposed boxing abit more--

An all time great even 40 years old should be able to KO a youtuber, or beat him up---and he didn't come close, it was somewhat competitive

Yes his natural athleticism and power took him far but against subpar competition. As soon as he stepped up in competition, it was lights out.

I watched his fight vs Gvozdyk and I have to say his left hand may have been one of the best weapons in boxing history. What a weapon

He was no Wilder, he was able to box a bit off the back foot, but that left hand was always waiting for you, ready to drop. And he didn't lose his form or his head when forced back.

He was a beast no doubt. Needed to be pressured and his with combos to get the better of him. Pissed Kova vs Stevenson never happened. True 50/50 fight that would have been fireworks. Edge to Kovalev though due to superior jab and boxing ability. Chalk another one up to the Haymon coward bidniz man academy that is PBC

This. Stevenson carried dynamite in that left hand.

It's a shame that we never got the Krusher fight.
