Everyone knows in boxing if you get hut by a clean shot it hurts like hell. Emphasis in clean. Now what separates a more powerful shot from the not so or the ordinary. It stings, and it leaves a mark, either the opponent gets dropped or dazed and confused.

My point is, it's a memory that sticks to you when you get hit. Fighters who got hit knows that. I know who hit me hardest as well. My point is, Algieri knows which fighter stung the most when he got hit. And it wasn't Spence, It was Pacquiao.

If you know the simple equation of Force is Mass x acceleration = FORCE or what we call the velocity of a punch.

Pac generates his punch from his lower body multiplying his punch power which is his (mass) added the speed that multiplies the mass (acceleration) = you get a punch that not only hurt, but stings. I remember Mosely mentioned how crazy Pac's punch was. It was powerful and leaves you with an aftershock buzz that lingers. Like an echo.. That's from the speed.

Buboy even needs to ice his hands after a mits exercise because of how strong it stings on his pads. It just pierces through it.

Not saying Spence has no power he has, but Pac has more pop. You can tell by how he hurts his opponent. Pac can hurt his opponent with one punch. Spence needs accumulation. So in this department Pac has more bite in his punches.

So all common opponents that got hit by Floyd and by Manny all say Floyd is the better boxer, your point must apply across the board or it's not a truth.

I think Manny has more one-shot power but I don't know, what I do know is power is a deceiving thing, its the shot you don't see that multiplies the result, same shot seen buzzes you, the one you don't see puts you to sleep, as I said power depends on a lot of variables that's why it's different in different fights otherwise Manny would have KOed them all, there is the power that cracks stunning you like a whip and their is thudding power that rocks you to your boots, if Errol caught Manny with his best shot and Manny didn't see it coming he could easily put Manny to sleep same for Manny its the one you don't see that gets you.

To this day Kevin Kelly says Hamed didn't hurt him, despite being put on the canvas four times and being counted out. Something about being beat to a pulp makes fighters resentful.

There you go. You just said what I just said. You actually agreed Pac has more one -shot power. So what are you babbling about?

I never said it depends on one thing alone. There's a lot of variables. Read the thread title. This is about who has more power. That's what I'm commenting on. You are transcending to a broader topic.

Spence can hurt Pac and vice versa. That's why it's an exciting fight. If Pac lands that one shot power like what he did to Thurman. How will Spence react? Will he still be the same? Or he will run for cover like Broner.

How will Pac react if he gets hit by combos of Spence. Will he get overwhelmed or will he retaliate with his own combos of his own which he is known to do when he gets hit, he fires back with more punches. We still don't know how these two will come out.. That's why its a must watch show. A lot of variables and moving parts to have different out comes. May the best man win.

If I recall correctly, Algieri was up and down like a yoyo vs Pacquiao.

I don't think I watched the Spence Junior fight.

The perception of power is a strange thing? Sugar Shane Mosely stated that Mayweather hit just as hard as Pacquiao etc

Good find, tim bradley said the exact same thing that when pac hit him it made his eyes flicker and he said the entire fight you are not the same. So im guessing pac isnt heavy handed but he just catches guys off guard with a sneak? So that means he is not a real power puncher but a sneak punched, where spence has heavier hands. Pac has to catch you slipping to hurt you so thats what algieri meant by shocking power. So im correct spence hits harder, while pacman doesn’t he just surprises you from angles so its harder to react.

I definitely won’t listen to the boxer who fought both of them and will listen to you instead.

                LMFAO.

algieri is speaking from emotional bias, he likes and respect pacquiao more and even admit he roots for him when he fights.

errol was hitting algieri and algeri would wince in pain

just compare his face after the pac fight and spence fight.. that will tell you all..
pac has a 1 punch k.o.. spence put him down by shot after shot.. while pac dropped him every single punch.
