The answer is simple.

The use of Steriods is a training aid and will result in higher muscle mass meaning that the fighter will have to campain at a higher weight, it will not effect his P4P punch power.

The use of loaded gloves is a cowardly act designed to seriously injure your opponent and massively increases your P4P punch power since you gain power (due to impact against the Plaster is gives less give) without having to campain at higher weights.

The second factor is thus: Boxers are not trained chemists, if a Doctor or scientists tells a boxer that substance x is not banned and fine to use, he is not going to have the knowledge to say hand on a minute thats sodiumpenasulphate bianthetamine thats banned i'm not going to use it.

However any boxer with a braincell is going to know that using plaster paris in your strapping is cheating, no ifs, no buts, no maybe's there is a Galaxy of difference.

After watching Assault in the Ring, and what a woopin' Mosley put on his ass with no wraps, and the fact that cheato got caught trying to use loaded gloves and it was proven and was banned by the boxing commish is proof he tried to cheat. That's enough for me. How many times did he get away with it? Only him and that scumbag trainer of his was enough to make me hope this ******* never gets to fight again in the US.

If he does, I hope to see a rematch with Cotto. I want to see what would happen. I think if Cotto had a better night, he still might have won that fight. He was doing pretty well the 1st 5 rounds or so...cheato kept on coming, but i think Cotto would have worn him down if he had his "A" game on.

It took 11 rounds just to put him on a knee. He never even hit the canvas. No KO. Cotto smartly took a knee cuz he knew he was getting hit with something unatural, and he could have sustained permenent injury had he kept going. Shane beat the crap out of him...i bet he was pissed.

And look where they both are today. Cheato has a very tarnished, shamed rep, and Cotto has the fight of a lifetime coming up. Life is the great equalizer.

Both of them were horrible offenses, but I think people tend to forgive Mosley more for a few differing reasons.

1.) Shane is the eternal nice guy. Like it or not personality plays a big part in this.

2.) A lot of fans don't see taking a performance enhancer to be on par with illegally loading your gloves. The common thought is that performance enhancers aren't as dangerous to your opponet as loading your gloves with an illegal substance, or stripping the padding, or altering them in any other way.

Not saying performance enhancers aren't as dangerous ; In my opinion they're equally as bad because they give you a stamina edge that would allow you to beat down your opponet once he tired and could no longer defend himself.

But that is the common perception ; loaded gloves are more dangerous.

3.) Mosley came back after the scandal and proved to fans that he was still a great fighter, even without the use of illegal substances. The same cannot be said about Margarito at this moment in time.

Who knows? Maybe when his ban lifts he can start to claw his way back onto the scene and prove his critics wrong.

But he's always going to have that cloud over his head.

Balco was supposed to be a sports science and nutrition center for high profile athletes.
Why would you go to GNC when you could go to someone who knows what they are doing?
There are other centers as such that athletes use.

In your whole little report you forgot to mention the fact that Mosley was cleared by the court of any wrong doing. He even took a lie detector test.. not to mention, mos the athletes that went up there used cash as to not leave a paper trail. If Mosley knew what he was doing, he wouldn't have payed BALCO with checks.

Anyway, when the scandal first broke I was very dissapointed in Mosley and felt betrayed as a fan.. You can go back and check the initial threads. I'm not lying.
However, since he was cleared and found not to be guilty of any wrong doing.. why am I going to hold it against him?

These Mexican cats on the board like to forget that I initial backed Margarito when the scandal broke and tried to see things his way. After all the evidence came out though, there was no way I could stick up for him. They also like to forget the initial threads where I stated that I was totally against Mosley taking steroids and thought it was some ***** **** if he knew what he was taking. They brush that aside and act as if it never happened so they can point fingers and call someone names though just so they can feel better about their idol being a cheater.

Mosley was probably on THE CLEAR for years, his name was NOT supposed to come out...I doubt he only rubbed the cream on his body for the 2nd DLH fight, he was a client of BALCO...meaning they designed a training regimine and provided him with the the drugs on a consistent basis ......Mosley is a cheat...face the music
