Why would you go to GNC when you could go to someone who knows what they are doing?
There are other centers as such that athletes use.

In your whole little report you forgot to mention the fact that Mosley was cleared by the court of any wrong doing. He even took a lie detector test.. not to mention, mos the athletes that went up there used cash as to not leave a paper trail. If Mosley knew what he was doing, he wouldn't have payed BALCO with checks.

Anyway, when the scandal first broke I was very dissapointed in Mosley and felt betrayed as a fan.. You can go back and check the initial threads. I'm not lying.
However, since he was cleared and found not to be guilty of any wrong doing.. why am I going to hold it against him?

These Mexican cats on the board like to forget that I initial backed Margarito when the scandal broke and tried to see things his way. After all the evidence came out though, there was no way I could stick up for him. They also like to forget the initial threads where I stated that I was totally against Mosley taking steroids and thought it was some ***** **** if he knew what he was taking. They brush that aside and act as if it never happened so they can point fingers and call someone names though just so they can feel better about their idol being a cheater.

    Their nationalism is a disease
in front of the Grand Jury, he clearly admitted he was told to say it was FLAXSEED oil.....just as every other BALCO cheat was told to say......

Mosley is no idiot...he knew what he was taking..just didnt know all the baseball players would get caught and bring him down as well. Why would Conte need to lie about Mosley knowing what THE CLEAR was used for

People find glove-loading to just be more savage and disturbing than PED use. We have the sad and ugly history of Resto-Collins due to glove-loading and I'm not sure of any KNOWN tragedies due to a guy being on PEDs. Then there's the belief that all sports are flooded with illegal PED use and that nearly everyone is on it.

People talk about how dangerous glove-loading is, obviously it is, but illegal PED use is too. Margaret Goodman called EPO "the perfect drug for boxing". You take it for more energy, you take other steroids to recover faster. When you recover faster you can get stronger, workout longer and harder, improve muscle memory, etc... What happens when you're stronger, sharper, and have more energy? You do more damage to your opponent! That's dangerous too.

The cynic in me believes a pretty high percentage of fighters are on the juice or some other PEDs, though.

Yeah, it's disgusting that the result stayed the same! A travesty and disgrace.

It also confirms what I said earlier about black fighters being more privileged than the Mexican/Chicano ones, both in the eyes of HBO and the US sanctioning bodies.

The sanctioning bodies are about connections. Look at Julio Cesar Chavez being the mandatory challenger for Kostya Tszyu in 2000. Don King and Jose Suilaman are partners-in-crime.

HBO just depends on whomever their house fighter is, and whose d!ck Jim Lampley feels like sucking. Jermaine Taylor, Oscar De La Hoya, Marco Antonio Barrera, etc...

But why do people still downplay Shane Mosleys involvement with BALCO and his blatant use of the Performance Enhancing Drugs they distributed. IMO Margarito was cheating long befor he was caught in the Mosley fight BUT there is no physical evidence to support such claims....but in Mosleys case all of the evidence is irrefutable yet people still put his name in the mix of all of these potential MEGA FIGHTS....

Jeff Novitzky, a lead investigator on the BALCO case, reported that documents seized from the lab show that Mosley received "the clear" and "the cream", both designer steroids. Mosley reportedly began his doping regimen prior to his 2003 bout with Oscar De La Hoya, a match that he won due in part to his strong performance in the later rounds of the fight. Victor Conte, the founder of BALCO, has since accused Mosley of knowingly taking performance enhancing drugs. He told the Los Angeles Times that Shane Mosley knew "exactly and precisely what he was doing" when he utilized BALCO's services. Mosley maintains that he believed the products he was using from BALCO were legal vitamins......................... "Legal Vitamins"....how on earth can you mistake a CREAM that you rub in for a vitamin you swallow?

In May 2008, Mosley's former trainer, Derryl Hudson, supported Conte's allegations against Mosley. In a declaration that was used in Conte's motion to have the lawsuit dismissed, Hudson wrote, "I know that Mr. Mosley was aware that the performance-enhancing drugs provided to him by Mr. Conte were banned drugs because I discussed that fact with Mr. Mosley both during and after our visit to BALCO,"

Mosley himself has ADMITTED to taking the drugs...errrr..VITAMINS so with all of this documented evidence why does Mosley continue to get praised by boxing fans and member of the media?
