LOL. Who the hell is going to pay $70 for a mismatch?

Well at least Davis isn't fighting underground on the web where casual fans can't see or notice him. Prospects like Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia belong on television too so they can help build their profiles among the casual viewer and the mainstream crossover fan as well.

I prefer PBC's business model over Golden Boy's and Matchroom's.

There’s nothing wrong with GBP and Matchroom’s business model. It’s their roster that sucks.

Who genius idea was it to make this regular cable level fight a $70 PPV fight?

If the idea is to have as little of people as possible to pay for the fight then $70 is good. But why only $70, so make it $100.

The boxing shot callers have got to be the dumbest business people around. If you want to maximize your dollar and expand viewership for a certain fighter then why overprice and limit audience. $70 for this ****? If they made it $30-$40 dollars they’d end up prolly at least doubling the amount of viewers who would end up paying that bullshht $70 price. Everyone would make at least the same amount of money but prolly more when it’s all tabulated. Pricing it right helps Tanks brand expands because he has more eyes watching him which will lead him to make more and more money each time out.

$70! What an excellent idea to keep the casuals away and ensure only hardcore fans watch this Friday night fight quality matchup.

I agree but live streaming is harming the sport. You can't grow the sport this way. It won't attract any new fans or the casual viewer so long as it is on the World Wide Web. Moreover, you won't be able to build new stars over the internet either. As it would become more difficult for the rising stars of boxing to find a mainstream crossover audience online. DAZN is only good for the established fighter who's had some television exposure. In addition, it's good for me as a boxing fan but it is detrimental to those of us who don't watch boxing. Taking the sport entirely off of television will inevitably ruin boxing in the long run.

Barrios neither poses enough of a danger or carries enough clout to justify this. No wonder that people only care about mainstream names like Tyson and Mayweather and their joke fights, the next generation will never accrue enough mainstream recognition to succeed them like this
