Archie Moore’s record after age 40: 43-4-2… so what’s Floyd’s excuse again?

If you’re going to use age as Mayweather’s excuse for losing rounds to a nobody off the streets, it’s time to drop him way down the list of all time greats.

If Archie Moore can perform like that after age 40, he’s clearly way better than Mayweather and should rank way higher than him on the lists of ATG fighters.

Even Jim Jeffries should be ranked higher. He came out of a 6 year retirement, had to lose 110 pounds to fight a prime Jack Johnson. Went 15 rounds with Johnson until his corner stopped it.

Completely agree.

I can also name off plenty of other great accomplishments that force Mayweather down the rankings.

Another great is example is Bernard Hopkins. He beat a world champion at age 47 to become champion… and the guy he beat is still fighting at an incredibly high level.

Hopkins is clearly better than Mayweather.

Floyd fought canelo and Berto after age 35, which are pro guys just like Ray. So why is my comparison any less valid than yours?
